[Abstract]:This paper is based on the Japan-Taiwan Treaty signed by Japan and the Taiwan authorities in 1952, and on the background of the peace process between San Francisco and Japan and the interaction among the United States, Japan, the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and other countries. Use multilateral archives to study the formation of international relations in the far East in the early 1950s. After the second World War, great changes took place in the world pattern and the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union began. After the founding of New China, the Chinese government joined the Cold War as an ally of the Soviet Union, established the socialist eastern camp, and pushed the position of confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union to the far East. As China chose the Eastern camp, China was no longer the "middle ground" of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, and the strategic position of Japan and Taiwan was highlighted. By dominating San Francisco's peace with Japan, the United States pushed for peace between Japan and Taiwan, placing Japan and Taiwan in the Western camp led by the United States. The Treaty of Japan and Taiwan marks the completion of the adjustment of the Western camp's relations in the far East. This paper reviews the negotiation process of the "Japan-Taiwan Treaty" by comparing the archives of the United States, Japan and Taiwan, and interprets the content and influence of the Treaty. By grasping the historical details, this paper focuses on the multilateral operation behind this bilateral treaty, analyzes the roles of the United States, Japan and the two sides of the Taiwan Strait in the process of recompiling the international order in the far East after World War II, and takes into account the roles of Britain and the Soviet Union. Under the Japan-Taiwan Treaty, the United States, Japan, Taiwan as a whole and China as a whole, Soviet as the representative of the Eastern camp for confrontation in the far East Cold War pattern, preliminary for the early 1950s far East international relations to establish a macro analysis framework.
