一战期间美国红十字会的发展壮大

【摘要】：第一次世界大战爆发后，根据《美国红十字会章程》的规定，红十字会立即承担起了美国政府赋予的救援责任，形成了以战争委员会为核心的战时领导机制。为了更好地服务国内外的美军及美国后方的国民，红十字会迅速扩大组织规模、征召众多的志愿者。除了救援前线的士兵外，红十字会在后方发挥了重要作用，创建了一系列新型的救援服务项目，这些服务项目涵盖了美国战时的护理、公共卫生和疾病预防等多个领域，，弥补了美国政府战时公共服务领域的不足，解救了受难中的美国民众。
[Abstract]:After the outbreak of the first World War, according to the provisions of the American Red Cross Charter, the Red Cross immediately assumed the rescue responsibility entrusted by the United States government, and formed a wartime leadership mechanism with the war committee as the core. In order to better serve the American troops at home and abroad and the nationals of the United States rear, the Red Cross has rapidly expanded its organization and recruited a large number of volunteers. In addition to the soldiers on the front line, the Red Cross has played an important role in the rear, creating a series of new relief services that cover many areas of American wartime care, public health and disease prevention. It made up for the shortage of American government's public service in wartime and saved the American people in distress.
