越南战争对六十年代美国大众文化转变的影响

【摘要】： 越南战争是美国历史上重要的一页,在诸多社会层面都留下了深刻印记。其影响力绵延至今,其作用渗透政治,政策,意识形态等各方面。尤其,如今的美国大众文化气候与越南战争之前数十年的相比,变化可谓巨大。如今的文化气候更加开放,求同存异,可以容纳不同的意见和声音。然而上世纪六十年代以前的美国社会的文化氛围压抑,人们不得不承受遵守传统大同规范的压力。从一个保守墨守成规的文化环境到一个日益开放的环境,这其中的转变是惊人的。我们可以通过几个颇具代表性的方面,如音乐和电影,来说明六十年代以来文化形式和内容的转变过程。摇滚乐,作为青年文化的核心,从其萌芽至繁荣,其发展历程亦见证了整一代人的成长,这一代人与他们的墨守成规的父辈完全不同。摇滚乐,作为表达的平台,在反战运动中起到了极大的作用。电影是传达信息和情绪的有力工具。许多有心的导演运用这一工具对越南战争做出反思。这些自省的电影作品使世人对这场战争有了更客观的记忆,进而巩固了越战积极的一面,也就是,它对大众文化积极转变的推动作用。作者将通过充分例证来说明越战和大众文化转变之间的潜在关系。研究分为四个部分。第一,作者将概述越战发生之前50年代的美国社会,这是动荡的60年代的序曲,亦是大众文化转变的开始。第二部分中,作者将简要说明越南战争这段历史。重点将放在反战运动上,因为这场运动是催化了大众文化转变过程。青年文化以及其核心摇滚乐是第三部分的主要研究对象。作者将论述反战情绪是如何渗透影响到音乐,并由此推动转变过程。第四部分中以电影为切入角度探究了大众文化的转变。本着补充一些个人意见的想法,作者对此命题作了些许研究。越南战争是破坏性的,非正义的,但是辩证来看,它有另外一面,这场战争促使了积极想法的产生,打破了循规蹈矩的思想枷锁以及盲目的爱国主义。这些也是我们需要了解并警惕的。
[Abstract]:The Vietnam War is an important page in American history, leaving a deep impression on many social levels. Its influence extends up to now, its function permeates politics, policy, ideology and so on. In particular, America's popular cultural climate is changing dramatically compared with decades before the Vietnam War. Today's cultural climate is more open, seeking common ground while reserving differences, can accommodate different views and voices. However, the cultural atmosphere of American society before the 1960 s was oppressive, and people had to abide by the traditional common denominator. The shift from a conservative cultural environment to an increasingly open one is striking. Several representative aspects, such as music and films, can be used to illustrate the evolution of cultural forms and content since the 1960s. Rock music, as the core of youth culture, has witnessed the growth of an entire generation from its bud to prosperity. This generation is completely different from their parents. Rock music, as a platform for expression, played a great role in the anti-war movement. Movies are powerful tools for conveying messages and emotions. Many aspiring directors used this tool to reflect on the Vietnam War. These introspection films make the world have a more objective memory of the war, and then consolidate the positive side of the Vietnam War, that is, it promotes the positive transformation of popular culture. The author will illustrate the potential relationship between the Vietnam War and the transformation of popular culture. The research is divided into four parts. First, the author will outline the American society in the 1950s before the Vietnam War, a prelude to the tumultuous 1960s and the beginning of a mass cultural transformation. In the second part, the author will briefly explain the history of Vietnam War. The focus will be on the anti-war movement, which has catalysed the transformation of popular culture. Youth culture and its core rock music are the main research objects of the third part. The author will discuss how anti-war sentiment permeates music and promotes the process of change. The fourth part explores the transformation of popular culture from the angle of film. In line with the idea of supplementing some personal opinions, the author makes some research on this proposition. The Vietnam War was destructive and unjust, but dialectically, it had a different side. It prompted the emergence of positive ideas, breaking the shackles of conventional thinking and blind patriotism. These are also things we need to know and be vigilant about.
