近代英国中产阶级的出现与身份焦虑

【摘要】：英国中产阶级产生于传统向现代的转型时期,其价值取向融合了上层贵族和下层平民的美德,通过文学作品得以强化和传播。绅士概念的变化揭示了中产阶级对于身份认同的诉求,也展示出文学话语对主流意识形态的形塑作用;郊区住宅的兴起体现了中产阶级对城市问题的担忧,他们试图借助空间隔离摆脱城市贫民的不良影响,维持体面生活。
[Abstract]:The British middle class came into being in the transition period from traditional to modern. Its value orientation combined the virtues of the upper aristocrats and the lower common people, and strengthened and disseminated through literary works. The change of the concept of gentleman reveals the middle class's demand for identity and the shaping effect of literary discourse on the mainstream ideology. The rise of suburban housing reflects the concerns of the middle class over urban problems, trying to escape the adverse effects of the urban poor through spatial isolation and to maintain a decent life.
