都铎时期英国的乡村教育

【摘要】: 都铎时期乡村教育的发展开启了英国乡村教育的近代化。本文试图从都铎时期英国乡村教育发展的背景、原因、作用等方面来揭示其对英国乡村社会近代化的重要影响,从而大体勾勒出转型时期英国乡村教育发展的整体状况。 都铎早期农民自身受教育的状况和宗教思想,以及14、15世纪英国社会大众文化的兴起、印刷业的发展、英语的普遍使用、世俗文法学校的建立等,为都铎时期乡村教育的发展创造了前提条件。都铎时期乡村经济由自然经济向商品经济的转变,刺激了乡村教育的发展,成为乡村教育发展的内在推动力。随着乡村商品经济的发展,乡绅、约曼农、普通农夫、雇工各阶层对教育的需求不断增长。富有的阶层纷纷把子女送入学校,贫寒者也希望自己的子弟通过读书改变其命运。 人文主义运动中所倡导的“新学术”在乡村文法学校的传播,又使乡村教育的发展或多或少地受到人文主义教育理念的影响。经过几代人艰辛的努力,到伊丽莎白时期,英国的乡村教育蓬勃发展。乡村教育的发展,促进了乡村社会上层内聚力的形成,也使乡村社会下层村民读写能力的提高与大众文化的构建结合在一起。乡村教育的大发展也为乡村社会培养了新型的劳动者、管理者,从而为乡村社会的发展注入了新的活力。
[Abstract]:The development of rural education in Tudor period opened up the modernization of rural education in England. This paper attempts to reveal the important influence of rural education on the modernization of British rural society from the aspects of the background, reasons and functions of the development of rural education in Tudor, so as to outline the overall situation of the development of rural education in England in the transitional period. The early Tudor farmers' own education and religious thought, as well as the rise of British public culture in the 15th century, the development of printing industry, the universal use of English, the establishment of secular grammar schools, and so on. It created a prerequisite for the development of rural education in Tudor period. The transformation of rural economy from natural economy to commodity economy in Tudor period stimulated the development of rural education and became the internal driving force of rural education development. With the development of rural commodity economy, the demand for education among squire, Yomanong, ordinary farmers and employees is growing. The rich have sent their children to school, and the poor want their children to change their fate by reading. The spread of "new academic" advocated in the humanism movement in rural grammar schools makes the development of rural education more or less influenced by the concept of humanism education. After generations of hard work, British rural education flourished during the Elizabeth period. The development of rural education not only promotes the formation of cohesion in the upper echelons of rural society, but also combines the improvement of reading and writing ability of villagers in rural society with the construction of mass culture. The great development of rural education has also trained new workers and managers for rural society, thus injecting new vitality into the development of rural society.
