《明经世文编》编篡问题研究

【摘要】： 明崇祯十一年(公元1638年)，陈子龙、徐孚远、宋征璧等人针对崇祯年间的社会问题，撷取明代历朝有关治乱兴衰的经验衰辑而成《明经世文编》，以供当政者作为资政的参考。《明经世文编》的问世，代表一种著录形式的兴起，对后世影响极大，但是史学界一直未对它的编纂问题作深入探讨。鉴于此，本文试图从编纂学角度着手，把《明经世文编》作为专门研究对象，探讨陈子龙等人如何吸收前人借助文本形式表达经世之志从而创制经世文编这种形式的，并在总结《明经世文编》编纂特点的基础上进一步分析《明经世文编》不是施政文牍的简单汇编，而是依本崇祯年间的社会问题选辑有关国计民生的文章的。陈子龙等人编纂《明经世文编》，在编纂思想、编纂体例、选材原则、具体内容等方面借鉴了前人编著的政书类经世史籍。在编纂思想方面，继承了前人从研究典章制度入手以达到经国济世目的的传统，且以本朝的典章制度作为研究对象；在编纂体例方面，《明经世文编》更多地吸收了明人编辑的经世文稿，并根据现实需要作了改进：以人为纲，以年代先后为次，在正文前附录“姓氏爵里总目”；在选材原则方面，则完全沿袭前人：以是否有裨经世作为取舍材料的标准；至于书的内容，则在承继明人所编诸书的基础上，根据明崇祯年间的具体问题有所增减。综观《明经世文编》，可知它有以下几方面特点：崇尚本朝，宪章当代；搜罗广泛，异同并存；阁臣居多、章疏为重。陈子龙等人认为明初诸帝立法甚具规模，人才辈出，决不下于汉、唐，甚至三代。而且，代不同制，所以《明经世文编》选取的都是明朝洪武至崇祯前期的朝臣的文章，而且完全以求实用、求解决国家当前之急务为主。在选辑过程中，广泛地收集各种足以资世用的文章，对同一问题的不同观点均加选录。这些文章的作者，都是明代的大小官员，，尤以阁臣为主，而文章的体裁，绝大部分是奏疏。／迄巴汽硕士学位论文＼》无矗＜笋八u盯厂／STI正HS 《明经世文编》的选文虽然完全以明人奏疏为主，但是陈子龙、徐罕远、宋征壁等人也是依据经世致用的原则，针对崇帧年间的特定问题进选相关文章的，而不是简单汇编有明一代的施政文躁。从选文的作者来看，是否选择某人的文章，选择多少主要看这个人是否是救时之彦，他的施政经验是否有利于解诀崇祈年间的社会问题。从选文内容来说，则是根据崇帧年间存在的重大社会问题，有针对地选择的，对明王朝的存亡有重大影响的，与之相关的文章越多，如边防问题、平乱洱“盗”问题，而且这些文章的内容必须是能够为当政者提供资政参考的嘉酞。
