人权、共和与革命:潘恩思想与现代政治的调性

【摘要】：在18世纪政治思想史的重要人物中,潘恩是显得最孤寂的一个。他的历史价值需要在扫拂历史尘垢的前提条件下严肃重估。对一个倡导现代价值的思想家与布道者,一个推崇以人权建构现代政体的政治人物,一个屏退宗教、颂扬理性的世俗主义倡导者,一个身体力行的现代政治行动人物,过往那种以激进主义者的标签贴完了事的做法,非常轻率。在一个重建民主信念与重述民主权威的混乱时代,人们需要重温潘恩那些启人心智的教诲,重归现代常识,重申人权理念,重塑理性精神,以应对一个价值与制度选择紊乱时势中的心灵与政治秩序需要。

In a chaotic era of rebuilding democratic beliefs and reinventing democratic authority, people need to revisit the teachings of Paine's mind, return to modern common sense, reaffirm the concept of human rights, and reshape the spirit of reason, In order to deal with the needs of spiritual and political order in the disorder of value and system choice.
