【摘要】：阿伦特以犹太人的身份在诉说自己民族的遭遇时道出了近代以来政治体制的变革和支配变革背后的幽暗力量。《极权主义的起源》一书便是在这样的背景下写成。近代以来由于上帝被赶出人类世界,理性占据了人类主导。理性造就了启蒙,而启蒙成功的标志在于与源始的疏远,这种疏远使得我们与自然对立起来,人类开始踏上自我接管地球的道路。与自然对立、征服自然使得人们开始了资本的扩张,民族国家因此应运而生。扩张并非征服,进入帝国主义阶段的为扩张而扩张使得人们沦为了帝国主义的工具,而资本主义国家争夺市场的结果导致了一战的爆发。成王败寇运用在资本主义社会再恰当不过,自此德国失去了大量土地和原材料,德国人民也因此背上了沉重的赔款负担。与其说希特勒缔造了第三帝国,不如说是英国人和法国人逼着德国人聚拢在纳粹鹰下。上帝的消逝导致人权只有在完整的民族国家内才能够得到保障,那将意味着受压迫的国家对于人权的热盼只有通过强有力的领袖统治下才能迅速得到保障。然而这个领袖必将是理性的复仇者,他的政权也必将朝着理性的乌托邦而去建立。在这个乌托邦里,除了继续资本的扩张外,建立在近代科学基础上的种族也成为了实验的对象。本文以阿伦特《极权主义的起源》一书为依托论述极权主义与技术发展以及技术发展背后隐含的技术统治之间的关系。本文共分三个部分,第一部分论述近代以来知识缘何生产以及在何种意义上说知识生产的背后蕴藏着虚无主义。第二部分论述知识生产背景下以反犹主义折射出的民族国家的兴衰到极权主义爆发的演变历程。第三部分论述在极权主义与技术统治的背景下人们的生活状况,主要包括官僚体制内人的境况、大众的生活境况和在技术乌托邦中人的生活。
