从《礼记》英译本“序言”看理雅各对中国礼学的接受

【摘要】：理雅各1885年《礼记》英译本是迄今发现最早的欧语系统全译本,本文对其《序言》作全面整理及研究。理雅各首先简述译经的缘起,评价前人译本的得失;其次介绍自己所用底本的优长,既有权威注疏,又汇诸家之说;再次对"三礼"成书过程逐一梳理,尤其对《礼记》的文献来源、编纂、流传,《大戴礼记》的命运、《小戴礼记》的地位等详细论述,并提及欧洲学者对《周礼》和《礼记》的译介情形,对汉籍外译和汉学研究具有很高的文献价值。本文旨在展现理雅各对中国礼学的接受,并对其中存在的理解失误逐一作学术探讨。
[Abstract]:The English version of the Book of Rites in 1885 is the earliest full translation of the European language system found so far. This paper makes a comprehensive arrangement and study of its foreword. Firstly, he briefly describes the origin of the translation of the Classics and evaluates the gains and losses of the previous versions. Secondly, it introduces the advantages and disadvantages of the original version of the book, including the authoritative notes and the views of the various families, and combs the process of making the book one by one, especially the source of the literature of the Book of Rites, and then compiles the source of the literature on the Book of Rites. The fate of the Book of Rites of the Great Day, the status of the Book of Rites of Little Day and so on are discussed in detail, and the translation and introduction of Zhou Li and the Book of Rites by European scholars are mentioned. It is of great value to study the translation of Chinese texts and the study of Sinology. This paper aims to show the acceptance of Li Jacob's theory of ritual in China and to make an academic study of the errors in understanding them one by one.
