佛教放生的问题与建议——在“慈悲护生、合理放生”座谈会上的发言

【摘要】：正(2014年7月30日)一、经典与理论依据佛教的放生活动,首先源于佛教经典的记载。例如《梵网经》说:"以慈心故,行放生业。一切男子是我父,一切女人是我母,我生生无不从之受生,故六道众生皆是我父母。而杀而食者,即杀我父母,亦杀我故身。……若见世人杀畜生时,应方便救护,解其苦难。"可见,放生蕴含着佛教众生平等、尊重生命的情怀与自他不二、因缘果报的智慧。因此,历史上中国佛教大力倡导戒杀、素食,积极组织护生、放生,并形成了历史悠久、底蕴深厚的放生文化。例如,南
