百丈怀海禅法研究

【摘要】:百丈怀海是中国禅宗史上重要的人物,是洪州宗风开创者马祖道一的法嗣,禅宗丛林清规的制定者,开发出临济、沩仰二系。百丈怀海是继六祖慧能后又一佛门大德,对中国禅宗具有不可磨灭的重大贡献,主要有两个方面:一是对洪州禅法的承继和推演,二是肇立禅门规式。由于种种原因,世人过多重视其清规对后世的影响,往往忽略其禅法,综观百丈怀海的学术研究成果,亦复如是。为补其不足,宣示百丈怀海禅法在禅法学术研究、个人修证以及文化弘扬之重要性,本文主要侧重其禅法之研究,建构百丈怀海禅法体系,辅之以清规。本文分为五章,亦即五个部分,第一章为前言,第二章至第四章为正文部分,第五章为结语。前言通过对百丈怀海的研究现状、禅宗的研究方法进行综述,进而阐述本文的选题意义和本文在研究方法上应注意的三个方面,同时简要介绍本文的内容结构。本文对百丈怀海所处的社会历史背景和禅法演变的背景两个方面进行介绍,将其置于整个社会、禅宗的大环境、大背景下进行研究。简要介绍百丈怀海行状,着重论述百丈怀海的悟道因缘,旨在还原其完整的修行历程及悟道因缘,同时,分析禅门规式的创制背景,勾勒其主要内容,略述其意义和影响,并于其中作适当推论。本文认为百丈怀海禅法是一套完整的禅法体系,包括理法、教法和行法。所谓理法,即宗门修证的理论基础,也称为基本见地,主要以祖师语录开示和佛教经论为依据进行提炼、佐证,总结宗门修证的理论基础即基本见地。所谓教法,即教化方法,指明眼禅师根据学人根性,观机逗教时采用的方法,后世禅宗称为“门庭设施”。所谓行法,即具体的行证方法,在行证过程中的用功方法、切实的行履,包括下手处。百丈怀海在教授学人的行法上既有理上的说教,又有在应对具体事上的转化方法,也有切实修证的下手处,名为“鉴觉是佛”。百丈怀海的禅法有顿有渐,顿渐相融;有权有实,权实相兼;既有对初心学人的方便教化,又有对修行小有所成后的断妄、直指教法;既有对洞达本分事弟子的检验,又有指导学人方便升进的门庭设施;既有将禅法融入读经看教和罪报观等日常修行的认知,又有切实的行证方法和下手处。总之,百丈怀海禅法有理法,有教法,有行法,自成一套完整的禅法体系,无论对学术理论的研究,学人切实修行的指导,还是圣贤文化的弘扬,都有非常大的启发和指导意义。
[Abstract]:Baizhang Huaihai is an important figure in the history of Chinese Zen Buddhism. He is the Faxi of Mazu Daoyi, the founder of Hongzhou Zongzong, and the maker of the rules of the Zen jungle. Baichang Huaihai is another great virtue of Buddhism after its sixth ancestor Huineng, which has made an indelible contribution to Chinese Zen Buddhism, mainly in two aspects: one is to inherit and deduce the Hongzhou Zen method, and the other is to establish a Zen style. For various reasons, the world pays too much attention to the influence of the Qing rules on later generations, often neglecting its Zen method. In order to make up for its deficiency and to declare the importance of Baizhang Huaihai Zen method in the academic research of Zen method, individual practice and cultural development, this paper mainly focuses on the research of its Zen method, constructs the Baichang Huaihai Zen Law system, and complements it with Qing regulations. This article is divided into five chapters, namely, five parts, the first chapter is the preface, the second to the fourth chapter is the text part, the fifth chapter is the conclusion. The preface summarizes the research situation of Baizhang Huaihai and the research methods of Zen sect, and then expounds the significance of the topic selection and three aspects that should be paid attention to in the research method of this paper, and briefly introduces the content structure of this paper. This paper introduces the social and historical background of Baizhang Huaihai and the background of the evolution of Zen method, and puts it in the whole society, Zen's general environment and background to carry on the research. This paper briefly introduces the characters of Baizhang Huaihai, and emphasizes on the understanding and understanding of Baizhang Huaihai, in order to restore its complete course of practice and understanding of Taoism. At the same time, it analyzes the background of the creation of Zen discipline, outlines its main contents, and briefly describes its significance and influence. And make appropriate inferences in it. This paper holds that Baizhang Huaihai Zen method is a complete system of Zen method, including rational method, teaching method and practice method. The so-called rational method, that is, the theoretical basis of the practice of Buddhism, is also called the basic insight, mainly based on the exhortations of the ancestors and Buddhist scriptures, corroborating, summing up the theoretical basis of the practice of Buddhism. The so-called teaching method, that is, the teaching method, points out the method used by the eye Zen master according to the nature of the scholar, and the later Zen sect is called the "gate facility". The so-called method of practice, that is, the specific method of proof, the method of hard work in the process of practice, the practical action, including the beginning. Baichang Huaihai has not only the rational preaching, but also the transforming method in dealing with the concrete matter, and the beginning of the practical practice of practicing the evidence, called "discerning consciousness is the Buddha." The Zen method of Baichang Huaihai has become more and more harmonious; it has the right to be real, and the power to be realistic; it has not only the convenience of enlightenment to the scholars of the first mind, but also the fallacy of becoming a little spiritual practice, pointing directly to the teaching method; and the examination of the disciples of the Dungda mission. There are also the entrance facilities which can guide the students to advance conveniently. It not only integrates the Zen method into the cognition of daily practice such as reading the classics, reading the teaching and the view of retribution of sin, but also has the practical method of practicing evidence and the starting place. In a word, the Baichang Huaihai Zen method has a rational method, a teaching method, a method of doing, and a complete system of Zen method. Whether it is the study of academic theory, the guidance of the scholar's practical practice, or the promotion of the culture of saints and sages, All have very great enlightening and instructive significance.
