蒂里希宗教哲学中的理性与信仰

【摘要】: 保罗·蒂里希是一位横跨哲学与神学并在两个领域都做出突出贡献的思想家。其宗教哲学思想内容丰富、见解深刻,具有很大的理论价值。蒂里希的本体理性观和以对人的“终极关怀”为旨趣的宗教信仰观成为西方最有影响的当代宗教哲学理论之一,因此对他的思想进行系统研究具有重要的理论价值和学术价值。然而理性与信仰的关系问题作为其整个宗教哲学体系的根本线索或主要矛盾,却一直没有引起人们的足够重视。鉴于此,本文试图系统地对其理性与信仰的关系行梳理,细致地剖析其在蒂里希整个宗教哲学体系中的地位和作用,进而全面地考察其思想的理论价值和实践意义。 本文主要分为四个部分: 第一部分,主要是对蒂里希本体理性观的主要内容进行梳理和探究。蒂里希认为,在大部分神学或宗教论著里,“理性”一词的涵义不明确或不严格,有待澄清。他将理性分为两种:本体理性和技术理性,并且指出当代社会存在着技术理性取代本体理性的严重危险。为此,他仔细的分析了现实理性的存在的三个内在冲突:自律理性和他律理性的对立,绝对主义和相对主义的对立,形式主义和情感主义的对立。他认为,以上三种对立是内在于理性的,仅靠理性本身难以克服。若使三个矛盾得以和解,必须诉之于启示。 第二部分,主要阐述了蒂里希的信仰观。首先,把宗教信仰与终极关怀(或称终极关切)相联系,是他对宗教哲学研究的一大贡献之一。他认为宗教信仰的本质就是终极关怀。其次,分析了信仰与存在的勇气、整体人格之间的关系,来探究信仰作为动力的巨大作用。继分析了“信仰是什么”之后,又对“信仰不是什么”进行了辨析,指正了当代思想界对信仰的种种误解。 第三部分系统而深刻地分析了理性和信仰的关系。蒂里希认为,一方面,理性是信仰的前提,因为只有有理性的人才抱有终极关切,而某种毁灭理性的信仰,就是毁灭人性和信仰本身。另一方面,信仰是理性的超越和实现。理性被信仰所把握并驱使,超越自身而得以实现。在指出了他的基本观点之后,又从四个方面具体分析了二者关系的具体表现。最后,通过对信仰真理内涵的深入探析,来揭示理性与信仰的关系。 第四发部分,主要分析了蒂里希理性与信仰观的理论价值与现实意义。就其理论价值而言,在对理性与信仰二者关系的分析中,凸现了信仰的本体意义;另一方面,他将信仰界定为“终极关怀”的理论创举,使宗教、哲学、科学、艺术四大领域找到了统一的理论根基。就其现实意义而言,为西方社会摆脱文化危机提供了神学出路,另一方面,其思想对我国目前社会的信仰危机也提供了丰富的理论资源。
[Abstract]:Paul Tillich is a thinker who spans philosophy and theology and makes outstanding contributions in both fields. His religious philosophy is rich in content, profound in opinion, and of great theoretical value. Tillich's view of Noumenon reason and his view of religious belief, which aims at "ultimate concern" for human beings, have become one of the most influential contemporary theories of religious philosophy in the West, so it is of great theoretical and academic value to systematically study his thoughts. However, the relationship between reason and belief, as the basic clue or principal contradiction of the whole religious philosophy system, has not been paid enough attention to. In view of this, this paper attempts to systematically comb the relationship between reason and belief, carefully analyze its position and function in the whole religious philosophy system of Tillich, and then comprehensively investigate the theoretical value and practical significance of his thoughts. This paper is divided into four parts: the first part, the main content of Tillich's ontology rationality is combed and explored. Tillich believes that in most theological or religious works, the meaning of "reason" is not clear or strict, and remains to be clarified. He divided rationality into two types: Noumenon rationality and technological rationality, and pointed out that there is a serious danger of technological rationality replacing Noumenon rationality in contemporary society. Therefore, he carefully analyzes the three internal conflicts of the existence of realistic rationality: the opposition between self-discipline rationality and heteronomy rationality, the opposition between absolutism and relativism, the opposition between formalism and emotionalism. In his opinion, the above three kinds of antagonism are internal rationality and cannot be overcome only by reason itself. If the three contradictions can be reconciled, must be brought to enlightenment. The second part, mainly elaborated Thierry's belief view. First of all, it is one of his great contributions to the study of religious philosophy to link religious belief with ultimate concern (or ultimate concern). He believes that the essence of religious belief is the ultimate concern. Secondly, it analyzes the relationship between belief and the courage of existence and the whole personality to explore the great role of faith as the motive force. After analyzing what faith is, the author distinguishes and analyzes what belief is not, pointing out the misunderstandings of belief in contemporary ideological circles. The third part systematically and profoundly analyzes the relationship between reason and belief. Tillich believes, on the one hand, reason is the premise of belief, because only the rational people have the ultimate concern, and some kind of destructive rational belief is the destruction of human nature and faith itself. On the other hand, belief is the transcendence and realization of reason. Reason is grasped and driven by faith and transcends itself. After pointing out his basic point of view, the concrete performance of the relationship between the two is analyzed from four aspects. Finally, the relationship between reason and belief is revealed through the deep analysis of the connotation of faith truth. The fourth part mainly analyzes the theoretical value and practical significance of Thierry's theory of reason and belief. As far as its theoretical value is concerned, in the analysis of the relationship between reason and belief, the Noumenon significance of faith is highlighted. On the other hand, he defines belief as the theoretical creation of "ultimate concern", which makes religion, philosophy, science, religion, philosophy and science. The four major fields of art have found a unified theoretical foundation. As far as its practical significance is concerned, it provides a theological outlet for the western society to get rid of the cultural crisis. On the other hand, its thought also provides abundant theoretical resources for the crisis of belief in the present society of our country.
