【摘要】:从十九世纪第一位华裔女演员黄柳霜亮相好莱坞开始到二十世纪八九十年代,众多华人女影星纷纷走出国门,进军好莱坞,试图在美国电影界争得一席之地。但她们总是被好莱坞塑造为异国情调的“奇观”,多以魅惑危险的“龙女”或迷人神秘的“中国娃娃”形象出现在银幕上。客观地说,好莱坞型塑的这些华人女性形象,并不完全是某些好莱坞电影制作人的主观臆想,而是以好莱坞为代表的美国文化的一种他者建构,也即是美国人的“社会集体想象物”。1997年,007系列电影之《明日帝国》(Tomorrow Never Dies,1997)中首次出现了中国女特工形象——林`u,她以敏捷干练的身手驰骋于好莱坞银幕,开辟了“功夫女郎”这一好莱坞对华人女性的新的表现模式。随后,不断出现借助中国功夫活跃于好莱坞大银幕的华人女性,她们除却身怀绝技,武艺高强,身手敏捷这一共性之外,又个性鲜明,姿态万千,形态各异,成为了好莱坞电影人物画廊中一抹靓丽惊艳的色彩。本文以好莱坞视域下的华人功夫女郎为研究对象,探究好莱坞视域下华人功夫女郎形象的具体呈现模式,将好莱坞影片中的华人功夫女郎形象分为特工、杀手和侠女三类来进行类型分析,探讨各类形象的共性特征及相互间的差异,并挖掘各类形象背后的文化意蕴及形象异同根源。论文内容主要包括四章。前三章选取《明日帝国》、《霹雳娇娃》、《卧虎藏龙》、《尖峰时刻Ⅱ》、《X-战警Ⅱ》五部电影中的华人功夫女郎为主要研究对象,同时结合其他多部好莱坞影片中的华人功夫女郎形象进行类型分析,具体对特工、杀手、侠女三种类型形象的外形特征、性格特点等进行细致解析。第四章对上述三类功夫女郎形象进行不同角度、不同维度的比较和对照,指出相互间的共性和差异,并结合比较文学形象学、媒介学、变异学,女性主义、东方学等理论,在前三章的基础上对形象类型的成因、形象类型背后的文化机制,以及不同形象类型之间的异同根源进行深入挖掘和阐释。
