被建构的主体性—对电影《国王的演讲》的分析

【摘要】：英国电影《国王的演讲》讲述了国王乔治六世在国内外压力下,主体性不断被建构,最后被迫登上王位并克服口吃、成功地在二战前发表鼓舞人心的演讲的故事。本文以《国王的演讲》为研究对象,试从主体性建构的角度探讨电影中的国王乔治六世的主体性是如何被大他者、小他者以及操演等外在因素建构的。正文由三部分构成。第一部分探讨了国王的主体性是如何被大他者建构的。大他者先在于主体,于无形中将其塑造为社会所需要的人。影片中的国王在被要求登上王位和做演讲的过程中,其主体性不断地被当时英国社会的排除机制、正确主体性的训练机制以及战时的社会期待建构。第二部分研究了国王的主体性是如何被身边不可或缺的小他者---自小照顾他的保姆、严格要求他的父亲以及帮助他矫正口吃的医生---建构的。第三部分依据朱迪斯·巴特勒的操演理论,旨在分析国王的主体性也是被操演而建构的:通过英国王室宫廷规范在言语和行为上的不断重复以及身体上的操演,国王时刻被提醒着自己身为国王的身份,因此自我的感觉和想法在国家及人民利益前都不重要,其主体性被这些外在因素不断建构。基于此,本文得出如下结论:国王乔治六世的主体性是由大他者、小他者以及操演建构的。
[Abstract]:The British film "the speech of the King" tells the story of King George VI's inspiring speech before World War II after being constantly constructed under pressure from home and abroad, and finally forced to rise to the throne and overcome stuttering.Taking King's speech as the object of study, this paper tries to explore how the subjectivity of King George VI in the film is constructed by other, other and performing external factors from the perspective of subjective construction.The text consists of three parts.The first part discusses how the king's subjectivity is constructed by the other.The other lies first in the subject and is shaped intangibly as the person the society needs.In the process of being asked to take the throne and give a speech, the king's subjectivity was constantly constructed by the exclusion mechanism of the British society at that time, the correct training mechanism of subjectivity and the expectation of the society in wartime.The second part studies how the king's subjectivity is constructed by his babysitter, his father and the doctor who helps him correct stuttering.The king is always reminded of his identity as king, so his feelings and ideas are not important before the interests of the nation and the people, and their subjectivity is constantly constructed by these external factors.
