【摘要】：本文是从二战后五六十年代，西方电影人物造型设计在历史变革期这个背景下的总体发展特征和发展方向，结合五六十年代获得奥斯卡最佳服装造型奖的多位著名人物造型设计师和著名演员，其所主导和代表的电影造型艺术发展特点，以及就此深入总结的对西方电影战后发展的思考分析，加上对中国本土电影和电影造型设计的比较性思考这几个方面来展开论述的。在五六十年代西方电影人物造型的总体变化特征和发展概况这一章，着重强调了其发展和变化的核心因素：审美观念的时代背景变化，，多元文化的影响和时尚文化的渗透。这几点的综合作用对二战后初期西方电影人物造型艺术发展的影响。在五六十年代经典奥斯卡最佳服装造型电影的艺术发展特点这一章，将当时最具时代特征和代表性的五位电影行业艺术家------设计师伊利斯·海德、于贝尔·德·纪梵希、海伦·罗斯以及著名演员奥黛丽·赫本、伊丽莎白·泰勒的艺术成就和互相关联做详尽的分析和探讨，通过他们来对当时主要的电影造型艺术发展特点做一个总结和归纳定性。在对西方电影造型艺术在战后发展的思考分析这一章，首先通过变革期背景下西方电影工业发展和电影人物造型艺术的互相关系来讨论电影人物造型发展的内部机制，其次通过当时时尚产业和电影工业的合作来论证西方电影人物造型艺术发展的外部促因。最后根据西方电影人物造型艺术在五六十年代的发展，结合本国电影工业发展来针对性思考中国电影人物造型艺术的实际状况以及发展道路。
