迪斯尼影片《花木兰》中的东方主义

【摘要】:萨义德指出:“东方主义”是建立在关于“东方”与“西方”的本体论与认识论区分基础上的一种思维方式。凡是简单的把世界分为东方和西方作为起点的对东方、东方人、东方习俗、东方思想、东方命运等等进行本质主义陈述的写作都属于东方主义。“东方主义”不仅存在于西方的文学、音乐、建筑、戏剧里,而且广泛存在于文化产业的衍生物——影视作品中。电影的开始繁荣的时候正是西方帝国主义和殖民主义在全球盛行,纵览西方电影,“东方主义”的例子更是不胜枚举。本文就以西方电影之一——迪斯尼动画电影《花木兰》为例,通过对影片中细节的分析,对影片中的“东方主义”思维予以剖析,来唤醒人们对新时期文化霸权主义的认识。 作为文化工业的迪斯尼动画产业,凭借其雄厚的经济实力、先进的制作技术、发达的全球发行和营销体系,显示了其在资本实力背后隐藏的话语权。迪斯尼的动画片《Mulan》在重现“他者”的过程中,对本土文化进行了东方化和美国化。原作《木兰辞》中所蕴涵的中国传统文化受到了美国主流文化的置换。在这个过程中,第三世界的文化遭受到强势文化有力的渗入和强权干预,导致自己的民族文化被边缘化。 本文作者从不同的角度,针对影片中具体细节的研究和分析来揭示该作品中所体现的西方人对于东方文化的误读,篡改与整合。这些与萨义德东方主义理论中所提到的镜像东方正好一致。第一章,作者从影片中环境的设置入手。分别研究了自然环境和人物生活环境的设定。第二章,主要研究影片中各种道具和器物的使用。道具的使用,是影片从细节上表现故事和故事背景的主要手段。第三章主要研究和分析作品中的人物。电影中人物的身份配置,包括人物关系,职务,以及其承担的社会角色。最后,,作者主要目的就是通过对影片的分析研究,首先来说明该作品虽然取自中国文学作品,但是最终所表达的是美国人的文化和价值观。并提出在文化多元多极化发展的今天,我们应该为文化建立平等的对话平台。在促进文化交流的同时,弘扬中国传统文化的特色和优势。
[Abstract]:Saeed pointed out that Orientalism is a mode of thinking based on the distinction between ontology and epistemology about "East" and "West". The writing of essentialism of oriental, oriental custom, oriental thought, oriental fate and so on, which simply divides the world into East and West as the starting point, belongs to Orientalism. Orientalism exists not only in western literature, music, architecture and drama, but also in film and television works, a derivative of cultural industry. It was when Western imperialism and colonialism prevailed around the world when the film began to flourish, and examples of "Orientalism" abound throughout the world. Taking one of the western films, the Disney animated film "Hua Mulan", as an example, this paper analyzes the "Orientalism" thinking in the film through the analysis of the details in the film, in order to arouse people's understanding of the cultural hegemonism in the new era. As a cultural industry, the Disney animation industry, with its strong economic strength, advanced production technology, developed global distribution and marketing system, shows its right to speak hidden behind the capital strength. In the process of reproducing the other, Disney cartoon "Mulan" made the native culture oriental and Americanized. The Chinese traditional culture contained in the original Mulan ci was replaced by the mainstream American culture. In this process, the culture of the third world suffered from strong culture infiltration and power intervention, resulting in their own national culture was marginalized. From different angles, the author studies and analyzes the specific details of the film to reveal the misreading, tampering and integration of the western culture to the oriental culture. These are exactly the same as the mirror orient mentioned in the theory of said Orientalism. In the first chapter, the author starts with the setting of the environment in the film. It studies the setting of the natural environment and the living environment of the characters respectively. The second chapter mainly studies the use of various props and objects in the film. The use of props, is the film from the details of the story and the background of the main means. The third chapter mainly studies and analyzes the characters in the works. The identity of the characters in the film, including their relationships, duties, and their social roles. Finally, the main purpose of the author is to analyze the film, first of all, to explain that although the works are taken from Chinese literature, they are ultimately expressed by the American culture and values. At the same time, we should establish an equal dialogue platform for culture. While promoting cultural exchanges, promote the characteristics and advantages of Chinese traditional culture.
