[Abstract]:Directed by Bruce Beelsford in 1983, gentle pity (also known as gentle mercy) tells a seemingly prosaic story in a light tone. Mike, the protagonist of the story, was once a famous folk singer, but his dream was blocked, and gradually estranged from his popular wife, Daisy, he began to drink alcohol, was completely destroyed by the ups and downs of fate, until he came to the remote Texas town. When Rosa, the widow who runs the hotel gas station with her children alone, changed her life, Rosa took him in, smoothed his pain with her tenderness and solicitude, and brought him back to the meaning of life.
