基于框架语义学的汉英非范畴化研究

【摘要】:语言作为认知过程的产物,能够反映人类对世界的感知、理解而形成的概念结构。而语言非范畴化的产生和发展都与特定的社会和文化有着密切的关系。从框架语义学分析来看,语言能力和个人拥有的作为背景知识的认知架构是不可分离的,语言单位无论是词汇还是语篇,均联结复杂程度不一的认知框架,要充分理解他们的意义就必须确认并解读这些为他们提供概念基础的认知框架,,并考察框架中概念内容如何获得语言表征。 框架这一术语从心理学进入到认知语言学,为语言的研究提供了一种新的认知阐释。语言的意义主要依赖于认知框架,语言表达式则是激活认知框架的触发器。认知框架是一个动态的系统,不同的经验、认知目标和文化背景知识都有可能改变框架中的成分。以常出现在生活中的汉语、英语词汇和习语为例,我们会发现:大部分语言表达的总体概念框架和涵义并没有差异,但在语言非范畴化之后,汉语和英语所表达出的涵义,以及人们对其涵义的理解会不同,原因主要是汉英两种语言代表的主客观文化差异。 框架语义学认为把握概念系统中任一概念的意义,首先必须理解它所适应的框架。语言理解正是将语言传递的内容与已知框架进行匹配的过程。本文意图从框架语义学视域出发,探讨汉英语言的非范畴化形成和动因。同时,通过对比词义变化与理解差异,揭示人类经验和文化背景框架对人们认知理解非范畴化后的词义有着制约关系。
[Abstract]:As a product of cognitive processes, language can reflect human perception of the world. The emergence and development of non-categorization of language are closely related to the specific society and culture. Language competence is inseparable from the cognitive framework that individuals possess as background knowledge. Language units, whether they are vocabulary or discourse, connect cognitive frameworks of varying degrees of complexity. In order to fully understand their meaning, we must recognize and interpret the cognitive framework which provides them with conceptual basis, and examine how the conceptual content in the framework obtains linguistic representation. From psychology to cognitive linguistics, the term frame provides a new cognitive interpretation for the study of language, the meaning of which mainly depends on the cognitive framework. Linguistic expressions are triggers that activate cognitive frameworks. Cognitive frameworks are a dynamic system. Different experiences, cognitive goals, and cultural background knowledge can all change the components of the framework. For example, English vocabulary and idioms show that there is no difference in the overall conceptual framework and meaning of most language expressions, but after the language is de-categorized, the meanings expressed in Chinese and English are similar. And people's understanding of its meaning will be different, mainly because of the subjective and objective cultural differences between Chinese and English. Frame semantics holds that the meaning of any concept in the conceptual system is grasped, First of all, we must understand the framework it adapts to. Language understanding is just the process of matching the content of language transmission with the known frame. This paper intends to explore the formation and causes of non-categorization of Chinese and English languages from the perspective of frame semantics. By contrasting the change of word meaning with the difference of understanding, it is revealed that human experience and cultural background frame restrict people's understanding of word meaning after de-categorization.
