呼唤型文本的翻译评估及其在评估商标翻译中的应用

【摘要】:翻译评估一直都是一个热点问题,但是它长期处于一个主观阶段。作为功能主义理论主要代表人之一,莱斯提出了文本分类方法下的翻译评估理论。在莱斯的文本分类理论中,她提出了四种文本类型,分别为信息型文本、表情型文本、呼唤型文本以及视听媒体型文本。由于缺少适用于各种文本类型的统一评估方法,,也为了进一步补充和完善莱斯的翻译评估体系,作者对哥特的关联翻译理论进行了综述式研究,将其引入到了呼唤型文本的翻译评估之中并将其应用于商标翻译评估。 随着翻译理论的发展,各种流派提出了多种多样的评估理论和模式,从而结束了翻译评估那种自发的没有理论指导的主观阶段。诸多国外知名学者,如维尔斯(2001)和莱斯(2000),对翻译评估研究具有巨大贡献,此外,我国国内也有许多学者致力于翻译评估学研究,如许钧、杨晓荣、温秀颖、文军以及吕俊,侯向群等。他们的研究成果颇丰。然而,关于何种评估标准应该作为首要标准,学术界仍存在分歧。 首先,作者对主要流派代表的理论特点进行了介绍,最先对翻译评估作出系统研究并做出理论突破的是德国的功能主义翻译学者莱斯。她从理论上指出了翻译评估可以实现的可行性和客观性,并提出了基于功能主义文本分类学的译文评估方式,从而为译文质量的评估提供了一个比较系统客观的评估模式。之后,作者对哥特关联翻译理论进行了综述。通过对呼唤型文本特点与关联翻译理论的内在关联的详细分析,提出关联翻译理论能够进一步完善莱斯的翻译评估体系而且能为四种文本中的呼唤型文本的翻译评估提供理论基础。随后,在对商标的文本类型进行分析之后,指出商标翻译属于呼唤型文本,并且一部分商标译本没有达到关联性目标。作者进而指出了在商标翻译中应采取的翻译策略。最后,再一次印证了关联翻译理论在呼唤型文本翻译评估理论和实际应用中的可行性和有效性。 关于本文的研究方法,作者对哥特的关联翻译理论在呼唤型文本翻译评估中的应用进行了评价式研究。此外,对六个化妆品商标和五个汽车商标的译本评估也进一步阐明和支撑了该理论的有效性。对莱斯的呼唤型文本与哥特的关联翻译理论紧密联系的理论分析以及商标译本的评估过程,都印证了关联翻译理论之于呼唤型文本翻译评估的可行性。但是这并不是本研究的终点,接下来本研究的研究方向可以集中在莱斯研究体系中的其它三种形式文本的翻译评估,其它三种文本分别为信息型文本、表情型文本和视听媒体型文本。
[Abstract]:Translation assessment has always been a hot issue, but it has been in a subjective stage for a long time.As one of the main representatives of functionalism, Rice put forward the translation evaluation theory based on text classification.In Rice's text classification theory, she puts forward four text types: informational text, expressional text, calling text and audiovisual media text.Due to the lack of a unified assessment method suitable for various text types, and in order to further complement and improve Rice's translation evaluation system, the author makes a comprehensive study of Gothic's relevance translation theory.It is introduced into the translation evaluation of the calling text and applied to the trademark translation evaluation.With the development of translation theory, various schools have put forward a variety of evaluation theories and models, thus ending the subjective stage of translation evaluation, which is spontaneous and without theoretical guidance.Many famous foreign scholars, such as Wellesley 2001) and Les Teng 2000T, have made great contributions to the study of translation assessment. In addition, many scholars in China have devoted themselves to the study of translation assessment. Such as Jun Xu, Yang Xiaorong, Wen Xiuying, Wen Jun and Lu Jun, have made great contributions to the study of translation assessment.Hou Xiangqun et al.Their research is very fruitful.However, there are still differences in the academic community as to which evaluation criteria should be the primary criteria.First of all, the author introduces the theoretical characteristics of the representatives of the major schools of translation, and the first to make a systematic study of translation evaluation and make a theoretical breakthrough is the German functional translation scholar Les.She theoretically points out the feasibility and objectivity of translation evaluation and puts forward a translation evaluation method based on functionalist text taxonomy, which provides a more systematic and objective evaluation model for translation quality assessment.After that, the author summarizes Gothic relevance translation theory.Based on the detailed analysis of the inner relevance of the relevance translation theory and the characteristics of the call text.It is proposed that relevance translation theory can further improve Rice's translation evaluation system and provide a theoretical basis for the translation evaluation of calling texts in four texts.Then, after analyzing the text types of trademarks, it is pointed out that trademark translation is a calling text, and some of the trademark translations fail to achieve the goal of relevance.The author further points out the translation strategies to be adopted in trademark translation.Finally, it proves the feasibility and validity of relevance translation theory in the evaluation theory of call text translation and its practical application.With regard to the methodology of this thesis, the author makes an evaluative study on the application of Gothic's relevance translation theory to the evaluation of call text translation.In addition, the validity of the theory is further clarified and supported by the evaluation of six cosmetics trademarks and five automobile trademarks.The theoretical analysis of the close connection between Rice's call text and Gothic's relevance translation theory and the evaluation process of trademark translation confirm the feasibility of relevance translation theory in the evaluation of calling text translation.However, this is not the end of this study. Next, the research direction of this study can be focused on the translation evaluation of the other three forms of text in Rice's research system. The other three texts are informational texts, respectively.Facial expression text and audiovisual media text.
