中英经济新闻语篇中转述言语的比较研究

【摘要】：作为信息传播的主要途径,新闻在近些年已为越来越多人关注,由于大众传播媒体的影响范围不断扩大,人们对它的研究也越来越多。批评性语篇分析盛行于此时。它的目的是通过对大众语篇的研究来揭示语言、权利和意识形态之间的多重关系。转述言语是新闻报道中不可或缺的一部分,因此,它也同时得到了批评语篇分析更多地关注。有关于转述言语的研究历来局限于文学语篇,而且其研究内容主要涉及转述引语的形式特征和修辞功能。然而自20世纪90年代以来,随着批评话语分析的兴起,人们把转述言语的重点转移到了非文学语篇,并将语篇和社会历史语境结合在一起研究。因此,本文从语篇语用的角度进行研究。本文采用Fairclough提出的批评性语篇分析框架,从转述方式、消息来源和转述动词三个方面对比了中英两种语言在五种报刊(《中国日报》、《环球时报》、《金融时报》、《纽约时报》和《商业周刊》)上在报导中国GDP超过日本这一事件时所使用的转述言语。我们发现虽然中英两种语言在转述方式和消息来源上大致相同,但是国外媒体运用“预先调整的直接引语”、“似真非真的消息来源”和“消极转述动词”的频率大大超过中国媒体,所以我们得到的总体印象是中国报道更多的是关注事件本身和呈现客观事实,所以在这一事件中,中国的报道比西方媒体的报道更加客观。导致这一差异存在的原因,是由于中西方两种不同的历史文化背景和新闻机构不同的操作方式。新闻媒体从来都不是中立的,而是充斥着各种意识形态意义。因而我们在阅读报刊时,应采用批评性的阅读方式,另外,对于第二语言学习者来说,语言学习不仅是词汇和语法的学习,更应该加强社会历史文化的学习。
[Abstract]:As the main way of information dissemination, news has been paid more and more attention in recent years. Critical discourse analysis prevails at this time. It aims to reveal the multiple relationships among language, rights and ideology through the study of popular discourse. Paraphrase is an indispensable part of news reporting. Therefore, it also attracts more attention from critical discourse analysis. The study of paraphrase has always been confined to literary discourse, and its contents mainly concern the formal features and rhetorical functions of paraphrase. However, since the 1990s, with the rise of critical discourse analysis, people have shifted the emphasis of reporting speech to non-literary discourse and combined discourse with social and historical context. Therefore, this paper makes a study from the perspective of discourse pragmatics. In this paper, we adopt the critical discourse analysis framework proposed by Fairclough, and use the method of reporting. Sources and paraphrase verbs compare Chinese and English in five newspapers (China Daily, Global Times, Financial Times, New York Times and Business Weekly) to report that China's GDP exceeds Japan's The paraphrase used when We find that although the Chinese and English languages are roughly the same in terms of reporting methods and sources of information, the foreign media use "preconditioned direct quotations". "it seems untrue" and "negative reporting verbs" are far more frequent than the Chinese media, so the overall impression we get is that Chinese reports are more concerned with the events themselves and present objective facts, so in this case, China's coverage is more objective than that of Western media. The reason for this difference is due to two different historical and cultural backgrounds and different ways of operation of news organizations in China and the West. The news media has never been neutral, but full of ideological significance. Therefore, we should adopt a critical reading method when reading newspapers and periodicals. In addition, for second language learners, language learning is not only vocabulary and grammar learning, but also social, historical and cultural learning.
