从美国5C外语学习标准看跨文化交际能力的培养

【摘要】：美国作为当今世界一个超级强国，其民族、种族构成十分复杂，导致其语言文化也多种多样，各种外语使用广泛。但长期以来，美国外语教育地位不高、状况较差。大部分学生尽管接受了数年的外语教育，在考试中也取得较高分数，但仍然无法在实际交际过程中有效地使用外语。为了提高学生的外国语言应用能力以更好地适应经济全球化的需求，美国教育部门、外语教学委员会通过孜孜不倦的努力，出台了《21世纪外语学习标准》。该标准着重确立了外语教育中五个方面的目标，即：交际、文化、连接、对比和社区。其中，交际与文化是核心，这就要求学生必须具备较强的语言应用能力，掌握目的语国家的文化知识，以顺利达到交际的目的。外语教育不仅要重视语言知识、文化知识的传授，帮助学生掌握有效的交际策略、学习策略，还要注重外语与其他学科知识的结合，培养学生的思维能力，鼓励学生使用各种技术来学习外语。该标准出台后，通过多年的努力与实践，美国外语教育已取得显著成效。科学技术的迅猛发展与经济全球化的趋势使我国越来越迫切地需要熟谙外国文化且能在处理跨文化事务中有效、得体地进行交际的人才。跨文化交际在我国外语教育界的研究已有二十余年，学术界也达成基本共识：外语教学不仅要重视语言知识的传授、语言技能的培养，还要重视语言的社会规则及语用规则；但在实际教学过程中，对跨文化意识、跨文化交际能力的培养仍然没有得到足够重视。本文旨在通过对美国《21世纪外语学习标准》的研究，为我国英语教学中跨文化交际能力的培养提供有价值的启示与借鉴。
[Abstract]:As a super power in the world today, the United States has a complex ethnic and ethnic composition, which leads to a variety of languages and cultures, and various foreign languages are widely used. But for a long time, American foreign language education status is not high, the situation is poor. Although the majority of students have received several years of foreign language education and obtained high scores in the examination, they are still unable to use the foreign language effectively in the process of practical communication. In order to improve the students' foreign language application ability to meet the needs of economic globalization, the American Education Department, the Foreign language Teaching Committee, through tireless efforts, issued the 21st Century Foreign language Learning Standards. The standard focuses on five aspects of foreign language education: communication, culture, connectivity, contrast and community. Among them, communication and culture are the core, which requires students to have a strong language application ability, grasp the cultural knowledge of the target language country, in order to achieve the purpose of communication smoothly. Foreign language education should not only pay attention to the teaching of language knowledge and cultural knowledge, help students master effective communication strategies and learning strategies, but also pay attention to the combination of foreign language and other disciplines, so as to cultivate students' thinking ability. Students are encouraged to use various techniques to learn foreign languages. After the introduction of the standard, American foreign language education has achieved remarkable results through many years of efforts and practice. With the rapid development of science and technology and the trend of economic globalization, China needs more and more talents who are familiar with foreign culture and can communicate effectively and appropriately in handling cross-cultural affairs. Cross-cultural communication has been studied in the field of foreign language education in China for more than 20 years, and the academic circles have also reached a basic consensus: foreign language teaching should not only attach importance to the teaching of language knowledge, language skills, but also pay attention to the social rules of language and pragmatic rules; However, in the process of practical teaching, the cultivation of cross-cultural awareness and intercultural communicative competence has not been paid enough attention to. The purpose of this paper is to provide valuable enlightenment and reference for the cultivation of intercultural communicative competence in English teaching in China through the study of the American Standard of Foreign language Learning in the 21st Century.
