英汉奥运体育新闻标题中概念隐喻的对比分析

【摘要】：《我们赖以生存的隐喻》一书的问世，隐喻的研究打开了新的一页。自此以后，，概念隐喻就成为众多领域的热门话题。概念隐喻理论的深远影响不仅表现在学术界，也呈现在社会生活的众多方面体育新闻报道，作为新闻语篇的一个重要部分，也呈现出隐喻的影响力。而标题，作为新闻报道的“窗户”，无疑包含大量概念隐喻的使用。概念隐喻的使用增加了体育新闻的生动性和趣味性，与此同时也吸引了读者的兴趣去进一步理解体育新闻的内涵。 奥林匹克运动会是全世界最具影响力的体育盛事。在奥林匹克运动会期间，来自世界不同国家和地区的大批新闻媒体将会就此盛会做出报道。本论文收集了1719条奥运体育新闻标题，来自华盛顿邮报，卫报，环球时报和体坛周报四个有影响力的新闻报纸的网站。为了使得本论文的研究更加准确和客观，新闻标题随机选自2012年的伦敦夏季奥林匹克运动会和2014年的索契冬季奥林匹克运动会，时间为两个奥林匹克运动会举办期间。来自两个奥林匹克运动会的新闻标题的数目大体相等此外，英文资料由837条标题组成，而中文资料有882条新闻标题。本论文使用定性和定量的研究方法并从对比分析的视角就奥运体育新闻标题中的概念隐喻做出中英对比,旨在回答以下问题： 1.中英奥运体育新闻标题中概念隐喻的主要种类有哪些； 2.映射机制在分析资料中的典型概念隐喻是如何运作的； 3.英汉奥运体育新闻标题有何文化特征。 本论文共分为五章： 第一章是绪论部分，介绍了研究背景，研究意义和论文结构。 第二章是文献综述及理论框架，回顾了隐喻研究历程，概念隐喻的核心内容及体育新闻标题的相关研究。 第三章是研究设计，主要涉及研究问题，研究方法，语料收集及研究步骤。 第四章是本论文的主体部分，针对研究问题对所收集的语料进行了详细的分析和讨论，并对主要从文化角度对相似处和不同点加以说明。 第五章是结论部分，概括主要发现并指出研究的局限性和未来研究前景。 通过对资料的对比分析，本论文发现：第一，就奥运体育新闻标题而言，在两种语言中存在着相似的概念隐喻,也有主要出现在一种语言中的概念隐喻；第二，战争隐喻在两种语言的奥运体育新闻标题中都处于优势地位；第三，作为概念隐喻运作机制的映射是具有系统性的并且是部分性的映射；最后，一些文化上的特征可对造成中英奥运体育新闻标题中概念隐喻的相似点和不同处做出解释。 希望本文能够帮助读者更好地理解奥运体育新闻并且就体育新闻中的概念隐喻研究有所启示。
[Abstract]:Metaphor for our existence opens a new page in the study of metaphor. Since then, conceptual metaphor has become a hot topic in many fields. The profound influence of conceptual metaphor theory is not only in academic circles but also in many aspects of social life. As an important part of news discourse, it also shows the influence of metaphor. Headlines, as the window of news reports, undoubtedly contain a large number of conceptual metaphors. The use of conceptual metaphor not only increases the vitality and interest of sports news, but also attracts readers' interest to further understand the connotation of sports news. The Olympic Games are the most influential sporting event in the world. During the Olympic Games, a large number of news media from different countries and regions around the world will report on the event. This paper collected 1719 Olympic sports headlines from the websites of four influential newspapers, the Washington Post, the Guardian, the Global Times and the Sports Weekly. In order to make the research of this paper more accurate and objective, the headlines were randomly selected from the London Summer Olympic Games in 2012 and the Sochi Winter Olympic Games in 2014, during the two Olympic Games. The number of headlines from the two Olympic Games is roughly the same. In addition, English materials consist of 837 titles, while Chinese materials have 882 headlines. This thesis uses qualitative and quantitative research methods and makes a contrastive study of conceptual metaphors in Olympic sports headlines from the perspective of contrastive analysis in order to answer the following questions: 1. What are the main categories of conceptual metaphors in the titles of Chinese and British Olympic sports news; 2. Mapping mechanism in the analysis of typical conceptual metaphors in the data is how to operate; 3. What are the cultural characteristics of the titles of the Olympic sports news in English and Chinese? This paper is divided into five chapters: the first chapter is the introduction, which introduces the research background, significance and structure of the paper. The second chapter is a literature review and theoretical framework, reviewing the history of metaphor research, the core content of conceptual metaphor and the relevant research of sports news headlines. The third chapter is the research design, mainly involves the research question, the research method, the corpus collection and the research procedure. The fourth chapter is the main part of this thesis. The collected corpus is analyzed and discussed in detail, and the similarities and differences are explained mainly from the perspective of culture. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, summarizes the main findings and points out the limitations and future research prospects. Through the comparative analysis of the data, this paper finds that: first, there are similar conceptual metaphors in the two languages, and there are mainly conceptual metaphors in one language. War metaphor is dominant in Olympic sports news headlines in both languages. Thirdly, as a conceptual metaphor mechanism, the mapping is systematic and partial. Some cultural features can explain the similarities and differences of conceptual metaphors in Chinese and British Olympic sports news headlines. It is hoped that this paper can help readers better understand Olympic sports news and enlighten the study of conceptual metaphor in sports news.
