基于意象图式理论的英汉“心”成语比较研究

【摘要】：习语是语言的重要组成部分，，也是语言的精华。习语和语言是不能分开的，因而在语言学习中习语无法回避。在语言学研究领域，习语占据着特殊的位置，以往的研究方向主要集中在对习语的习语性，可分性及其与隐喻的关系的探讨上。然而值得关注的是，习语既然是人类在长期生产生活中总结出的精华，它就能够反映出人们在生产生活过程中对周围世界和事物的认知经验，而经验的获得必定与人类初始的认知结构与组织思维的重要形式—意象图式有着密切的联系。意象图式是连接身体经验与更加抽象的认知和语言的桥梁。作为认知语言学的重要概念之一，意象图式理论可以作为习语研究的理据。本文以意象图式为理论依据，采用定性分析和归纳法，通过对英汉“心”成语的内部结构及其字面义与隐喻义关系的比较分析，挖掘中英两种文化在认知框架建构中的异同点，以期对系统规范掌握习语有所裨益。经过系统研究，本文发现少数英汉“心”成语在八种意向图式中的分布相同且语义相近，这说明了两种语言的相似共通性；而大部分英汉“心”成语的分布趋势不同，且对应关系混杂，由此英汉两种语言乃至是中英文化的差异性也可略见一斑。综上，本研究具有一定的理论与实践价值，既是对意象图式理论研究习语可行性的验证，又为探讨语言习得与人类认知框架的深层关系提供方法视角和支持，同时也会对外语教学及二语习得的方法研究有所促进。
[Abstract]:Idioms are not only an important part of language, but also the essence of language. Idioms and languages cannot be separated, so idioms cannot be avoided in language learning. In the field of linguistics, idioms occupy a special position. Previous studies have focused on idioms, separability and the relationship between idioms and metaphors. It is worth noting, however, that since idioms are the essence of human life and production over a long period of time, they can reflect people's cognitive experience of the world and things around them in the process of production and life. The acquisition of experience must be closely related to the initial cognitive structure of human beings and the important form of organizational thinking-image schema. Image schema is a bridge between physical experience and more abstract cognition and language. As one of the important concepts in cognitive linguistics, image schema theory can be used as the motivation of idiom research. Based on the theory of image schema and qualitative analysis and induction, this paper explores the similarities and differences between Chinese and English cultures in the construction of cognitive framework through a comparative analysis of the internal structure of English and Chinese "heart" idioms and the relationship between their literal meaning and metaphorical meaning. It is expected to be of benefit to the systematic and normative understanding of idioms. Through a systematic study, this paper finds that a few "heart" idioms in English and Chinese have the same distribution and similar semantics in the eight intention schemas, which indicates the similarity and commonality of the two languages, while the distribution trends of most of the "heart" idioms in English and Chinese are different. Therefore, the differences between English and Chinese languages and even Chinese and English cultures can also be seen. To sum up, this study has some theoretical and practical value, which not only verifies the feasibility of studying idioms in image schema theory, but also provides a methodological perspective and support for exploring the deep relationship between language acquisition and human cognitive framework. At the same time, it will promote the research of foreign language teaching and second language acquisition.
