模因系统和符号系统的互补研究

【摘要】:模因论,作为语用学领域的一门新兴学科,是关于模因的研究。自从二十世纪六十年代末首次提出模因概念以来,该理论被广泛应用于解释文化传播现象。但由于其发展时间短、理论框架尚不完善,其作为独立学科的地位仍受质疑。符号学,是研究符号传意的人文科学。以文化为研究范围的现代符号学涵盖范围广,涉及了社会生活的方方面面。现代符号学的历史可追溯到二十世纪初,经过百年的发展,其在意义认知方面的研究已取得了一定成果,但在符号意义之外的领域仍存在发展空间。模因论致力于研究文化的传播,符号学则更关注符号意义的阐释,二者虽同时聚焦于文化层面,但却从不同侧面对文化进行了解读,两者相辅相成,形成互补。模因论和符号学的互补研究有助于发挥新老学科的各自优势,在借鉴符号学研究成果的同时也引入了模因论的新方法。 本文首先对模因论和符号学两个理论系统进行了梳理,将两个理论系统的异同点进行了比较与分析。从差异点出发,文章探索了模因论和符号学各自具备的优势和不足,尝试运用符号学中较成熟的认知原理解读模因形成机制,,并借鉴模因论中关于传播过程的理论充实符号学的理论体系,从而达到优势互补。 本文通过互补研究,使模因论整个理论系统更为严谨、完善,有力的回击了否认其学科独立性的说法,而从符号学新借鉴的认知理论也更有助于发挥其对文化的强大阐释力;就符号系统而言,模因论独特的研究视角、其对传播过程的精准剖析都有利于解读符号的传播过程,对完善符号系统做出贡献。
[Abstract]:Memetics, as a new subject in the field of pragmatics, is a study of memes. Since the concept of meme was first put forward in the late 1960's, this theory has been widely used to explain the phenomenon of cultural communication. However, due to its short development time and imperfect theoretical framework, its status as an independent discipline is still questioned. Semiotics, is the study of symbol transmission of the humanities. Modern semiotics, which takes culture as the scope of study, covers a wide range and involves all aspects of social life. The history of modern semiotics can be traced back to the beginning of the 20th century. After a hundred years of development, the research on the cognition of meaning has made some achievements, but there is still room for development in the field beyond the symbolic meaning. Memetics is devoted to the study of the spread of culture, while semiotics pays more attention to the interpretation of symbolic meaning. Although they focus on the cultural level at the same time, they interpret culture from different aspects and complement each other. The complementary study of memetics and semiotics is helpful to give full play to the respective advantages of the new and old disciplines. A new method of memetics is also introduced while drawing lessons from the research results of semiotics. In this paper, two theoretical systems, memetics and semiotics, are first combed, and the similarities and differences between the two systems are compared and analyzed. From the point of difference, this paper explores the advantages and disadvantages of memetics and semiotics, and tries to interpret the mechanism of meme formation by using the more mature cognitive principles in semiotics. And draw lessons from the theory of propagation process in memetics to enrich the theoretical system of semiotics, so as to achieve complementary advantages. Through the research of complementation, this paper makes the whole theory system of memetics more rigorous, perfect and powerful in attacking the theory of denying the independence of its discipline, and the cognitive theory which is used for reference from the new semiotics is also helpful to give play to its powerful interpretation of culture. As far as the symbol system is concerned, the unique perspective of memetics, whose accurate analysis of the communication process is conducive to the interpretation of the symbol transmission process, contributes to the improvement of the symbol system.
