范畴化理论视角下英汉颜色词隐喻的认知机制分析

【摘要】:颜色词一直大量出现并且运用于我们的日常生活当中,因为基于色彩范畴思想、进行思维推理形成概念结构是人类认知的一部分。颜色隐喻是以颜色词为源域,将颜色域的意象映射到抽象的非颜色的域上,使我们可以通过颜色概念来理解、思考一些语言现象,解决一些不同的语言和文化的交流问题。本篇论文的出发点是运用认知语言学当中的范畴化理论和概念隐喻理论来分析解释英汉基本颜色词汇的概念隐喻及机制,并试图进一步尽量详尽地解释说明范畴化理论和概念隐喻理论。古今中外有许多学者都对颜色词汇及其概念隐喻进行过对比分析,但绝大部分都仅停留在单一的文化层面上,以范畴化理论为基础上的概念隐喻理论视角下的研究分析数量相对较少,大部分都仅仅是按照色系来泛泛地谈论和分析某种或某几种的颜色词的隐喻意义,或者是对两种不同的语言进行对比,本文首先将通过对Aristotle, Wittgenstein, Eleanor Rosch等人的范畴化理论以及概念隐喻理论进行总结,来对英汉颜色词的认知机制进行较为深刻的分析解释,进而对二者做深层次的对比分析。 因为范畴理论下的颜色词的概念隐喻分析在国内外研究尚处于萌芽阶段,理论的建构与实践都还不成熟,所以本课题的研究拥有一定程度上的理论以及实践意义。在理论上,本论文对范畴理论下的颜色词的隐喻机制和隐喻研究更为系统,更为深刻。在实践上,范畴理论下的颜色隐喻机制研究以及英汉颜色词隐喻的对比分析有助于提高英语学习者的文化交际能力,更好地理解并且翻译颜色词汇及其隐喻. 本文将分为五个章节,第一章主要介绍论文的研究背景、客观性以及重要性。第二章为文献综述部分,主要列举了概念隐喻理论,颜色词汇以及颜色隐喻的研究成果。第三章为论文的理论支撑部分,论文分别对Aristotle, Wittgenstein, Eleanor Rosch等人的范畴化理论以及概念隐喻的定义和特点论进行总结分析。第四章为论文的中心部分,是对范畴化理论下基本颜色词汇的研究,其中包括英汉颜色隐喻的认知机制系统的英汉颜色隐喻的范畴化理论下的对比分析以及颜色词汇和颜色隐喻的认知过程分析。第五章为总结部分。
[Abstract]:Color words have been widely used in our daily life because thinking reasoning is a part of human cognition based on color category. Color metaphor is to use color words as the source domain, mapping the image of color field to the abstract non-color field, so that we can understand the color concept, think about some linguistic phenomena, and solve some problems of communication between different languages and cultures. The starting point of this thesis is to use the categorization theory and the conceptual metaphor theory in cognitive linguistics to analyze the conceptual metaphor and mechanism of explaining the basic color vocabulary in English and Chinese. It also tries to explain categorization theory and conceptual metaphor theory in detail. Many scholars at all times and at home and abroad have made a comparative analysis of color words and their conceptual metaphors, but most of them remain on a single cultural level. From the perspective of conceptual metaphor theory based on categorization theory, there is a relatively small amount of research and analysis, most of which are just the general discussion and analysis of the metaphorical meaning of a certain color word or several color words according to the color system. Or a comparison between the two different languages. Firstly, this thesis will summarize the categorization theory and conceptual metaphor theory of Aristotle, Wittgenstein, Eleanor Rosch et al. to make a more profound analysis and explanation of the cognitive mechanism of color words in English and Chinese. And then to do a deep level of comparative analysis of the two. Because the conceptual metaphor analysis of color words under category theory is still in its infancy at home and abroad, the theoretical construction and practice are not mature, so the research of this subject has some theoretical and practical significance. Theoretically, this thesis studies the metaphorical mechanism and metaphor of color words in category theory more systematically and deeply. In practice, the study of color metaphor mechanism under category theory and the contrastive analysis of English and Chinese color word metaphors can help English learners to improve their cultural communicative competence and to better understand and translate color words and their metaphors. This paper will be divided into five chapters, the first chapter mainly introduces the research background, objectivity and importance. The second chapter is the literature review, which mainly lists the theory of conceptual metaphor, color vocabulary and color metaphor. The third chapter is the theoretical support of the thesis. The thesis summarizes and analyzes the categorization theory of Aristotle, Wittgenstein, Eleanor Rosch et al and the definition and characteristic theory of conceptual metaphor. The fourth chapter is the central part of the thesis, which is the study of the basic color vocabulary in categorization theory. It includes the cognitive mechanism of color metaphor in English and Chinese, the contrastive analysis of the categorization theory of color metaphor in English and Chinese, and the cognitive process of color vocabulary and color metaphor. The fifth chapter is the summary part.
