杨宪益、戴乃迭翻译活动与翻译思想研究

【摘要】：译界泰斗杨宪益、戴乃迭对翻译事业倾其终生，优秀的外国文学、中国古典以及现当代文学都在他们的译介视野中，出自杨宪益夫妇之手的翻译精品蔚为大观，，他们在中西文化交流史上留下了光辉的一页。国内翻译界对于杨宪益、戴乃迭作为翻译家的研究目前还处于起步阶段，笔者收集了大量详实的资料，总结了前人研究的成果，在此基础之上，从译者的生平、翻译贡献、在翻译界的地位、翻译活动、译介作品、翻译思想、翻译事业取得成功的因素及翻译事业的局限性等多方面入手对杨宪益、戴乃迭展开全面研究。杨宪益、戴乃迭的翻译活动和翻译思想是本研究的重点。笔者结合当时的社会背景将杨宪益夫妇的翻译活动分为四个时期进行研究，分别为：业余译者期（1936年—1943年）、职业译者生涯的开始期（1943年—1952年）、职业译者生涯的高产期（1952年—1972年）、职业译者生涯的顶峰期（1972年—1986年）。对杨宪益、戴乃迭翻译思想的研究，笔者先概括了杨宪益夫妇对翻译的几点看法，其中包括：他们对翻译中“可译”与“不可译”因素的看法，对翻译中“信”、“达”、“雅”的看法，对诗歌翻译中的“内容”与“形式”的看法以及对翻译中“历史距离”的看法;并通过他们的主要译作对其翻译思想进行进一步剖析，在此基础上笔者还对杨宪益夫妇翻译思想形成的原因及其翻译特色进行了解析。本研究的目的旨在弥补翻译界对杨宪益、戴乃迭研究的不足，提取杨宪益、戴乃迭翻译实践与思想的精华，指出杨宪益、戴乃迭翻译事业的局限性，为当今译者提供一定的指导作用。
[Abstract]:The translation circles Yang Xianyi and Dai Nadi devoted their entire lives to the translation cause. Excellent foreign literature, classical Chinese literature and modern and contemporary literature are in their translation field of vision. They left a glorious page in the history of cultural exchange between China and the West. The study of Yang Xianyi and Dai Nadii as translators in China is still in its infancy. The author has collected a great deal of detailed data and summarized the achievements of previous studies. On this basis, the author has made contributions to translation from the perspective of the translator's life and life. In the position of translation field, translation activities, translation works, translation ideas, the factors of success in translation and the limitations of translation, Yang Xianyi and Dai Naidi are studied in an all-round way. Yang Xianyi, Dai Nadi's translation activities and translation thoughts are the focus of this study. According to the social background at that time, the author divides the translation activities of Yang Xianyi and his wife into four periods: amateur translator (1936-1943), the beginning of professional translator's career (1943-1952). The period of high birth (1952-1972) and the peak period (1972-1986) of the career of a professional translator. In the study of Yang Xianyi and Dai Naidi's translation thoughts, the author first summarizes the couple's views on translation, including: their views on the factors of "translatability" and "untranslatability" in translation, "letter" and "Da" in translation. The view of "elegance", the view of "content" and "form" in poetry translation and the view of "historical distance" in translation; On the basis of further analysis of their translation thoughts, the author also analyzes the causes of the formation of Yang Xianyi's translation thoughts and their translation characteristics. The purpose of this study is to make up for the shortcomings of translation studies on Yang Xianyi and Dai Nadii, to extract the essence of the translation practice and thought of Yang Xianyi and Dai Nadii, and to point out the limitations of the translation cause of Yang Xianyi and Dai. To provide some guidance for today's translators.
