论新闻发布会中外交委婉语的翻译

【摘要】：外交是国家之间在国际方面的交往活动，外交语言作为外交的载体，其显著特征就是讲究策略原则和礼貌用语，这是其不同于自然语言的独特之处。为此，外交家们常常运用外交委婉语来回答敏感性问题以及缓和交际气氛。外交委婉语的翻译有别于其他领域的翻译，它政治敏感度高、政策性强，是一种高级的政治语言。本文以外交部新闻发布会为例，简明而又系统地从语用学的视角对外交语言中的委婉现象进行了分析，并对如何把握外交语言特点，如何更准确、更忠实的翻译外交语言的内涵与外延进行了分析。本文旨在通过定性分析法对外交委婉语的语用功能和其翻译方法进行研究。本篇论文共由六章节组成。第一章是介绍，研究了本文的写作目标和写作意义，并从不同方面回顾了先前语言学者对委婉语的研究，指出了委婉语的来源，这个概念在文中具有广泛的外延，涵盖了外交委婉语在词汇、句法、语篇等层面的使用。第二章是委婉语的相关文献评论，并指出委婉语在不同的文献中所给予的不同定义以及国内外学者和语言学家对其进行的当前研究。第三章是对外交委婉语的综述，作者对外交、外交语言和外交委婉语给予了相关定义，并分析了其特征和在外交语言中使用的必要性以及产生的交际效果。第四章分析了外交委婉语的语用功能，是整篇文章的理论框架，其指出外交委婉语的语用功能是为了提高在外交场合下话语的灵活性和得体性。第五章从动态对等理论和语用功能理论的角度下研究了新闻发布会中外交委婉语的翻译方法。在翻译过程中，需要译者对外交委婉语进行灵活掌握，根据相关的语用原则和交流目的选择适当的翻译方法，作者提出了四种翻译方法，即模糊翻译、精确翻译和对委婉语的减弱和增强译法。最后一章是结论，是对本文研究的主要发现和缺点作出的总结以及对进一步研究提出的建议。外交语言不同于其他语言，它是一种婉转、礼貌并具有独特特点的语言，由此可见，在新闻发布会的外交场合中研究其委婉语的翻译有着重要的理论和现实意义。
[Abstract]:Diplomacy is an international interaction between countries. As a carrier of diplomacy, diplomatic language is characterized by strategic principles and polite language, which is unique from natural language. To this end, diplomats often use diplomatic euphemism to answer sensitive questions and ease the atmosphere of communication. The translation of diplomatic euphemism is different from the translation in other fields. It is a high-level political language with high political sensitivity and strong policy. Taking the press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an example, this paper makes a brief and systematic analysis of euphemism in diplomatic language from the perspective of pragmatics, and discusses how to grasp the characteristics of diplomatic language and how to be more accurate. The connotation and extension of more faithful translation diplomatic language are analyzed. The purpose of this paper is to study the pragmatic functions and translation methods of euphemism through qualitative analysis. This thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter is to introduce and study the writing objectives and significance of this paper, and review the previous research on euphemism from different aspects, pointing out the source of euphemism, this concept has a broad extension in the text. It covers the use of diplomatic euphemism at the lexical, syntactic and textual levels. The second chapter is the related literature review of euphemism, and points out the different definitions of euphemism in different literature as well as the current research on euphemism by scholars and linguists at home and abroad. The third chapter is a review of diplomatic euphemism. The author defines diplomatic euphemism, diplomatic language and diplomatic euphemism, and analyzes its characteristics, the necessity of its use in diplomatic language and its communicative effects. The fourth chapter analyzes the pragmatic function of diplomatic euphemism, which is the theoretical framework of the whole article. It points out that the pragmatic function of diplomatic euphemism is to improve the flexibility and appropriateness of discourse in diplomatic situations. The fifth chapter studies the translation methods of diplomatic euphemism in press conference from the perspectives of dynamic equivalence theory and pragmatic function theory. In the process of translation, it is necessary for the translator to master euphemism flexibly. According to the relevant pragmatic principles and communicative purposes, the author proposes four translation methods, that is, fuzzy translation. Precise translation and the weakening and enhancement of euphemism. The last chapter is the conclusion, which is a summary of the main findings and shortcomings of this study and suggestions for further research. Diplomatic language, which is different from other languages, is a kind of euphemism, politeness and unique language. It can be seen that it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the translation of euphemism in the diplomatic situation of press conference.
