《人民日报》和《卫报》的中英文化隐喻对比研究

【摘要】：文化隐喻作为一种新兴方法研究国家层面的文化,是指某一特定文化中的成员在情感上和(或)在认知上所认同的任何活动、现象或传统。Gannon将文化隐喻作为一种研究文化的手段,去分析不同国家的文化价值。文化隐喻是在当代认知隐喻的基础上发展起来的,它将文化与隐喻研究的研究成果相结合。本文利用对比和数据收集研究方法,从《人民日报》和《卫报》选择语料对中英文化隐喻进行分析。目的在于通过建立文化隐喻框架,分析中国与英国的文化价值和文化差异。本文研究发现中国家庭、传统英国建筑等文化隐喻可以充分反应了中英两国核心社会文化价值相似性与差异性。相似性为守旧和传承性；差异性体现为中国的孔子思想、和谐观念；英国的个人主义、自由平等主义、理性精神,并且阐述导致差异性的跨文化原因。希望在文化隐喻的指导下,本试验性的研究会生动反映中国与英国的现实社会,也会帮助外国人学习英语和汉语,同时可以促进中外谈判中的文化交流。
[Abstract]:Cultural metaphor, as an emerging method of studying culture at the national level, refers to any activity that members of a particular culture recognize emotionally and / or in cognition. Gannon uses cultural metaphor as a means of studying culture to analyze the cultural values of different countries. Cultural metaphor is developed on the basis of contemporary cognitive metaphor, which combines the research results of culture and metaphor. Using contrastive and data collection methods, this paper analyzes Chinese and English cultural metaphors from the selected corpus of People's Daily and the Guardian. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the cultural values and cultural differences between China and Britain by establishing a framework of cultural metaphors. This paper finds that Chinese family, traditional British architecture and other cultural metaphors can fully reflect the similarities and differences of the core social and cultural values between the two countries. Similarities are old-fashioned and inherited; differences are embodied in Confucius' thoughts and harmonious ideas in China; individualism, liberal egalitarianism, rational spirit in Britain; and cross-cultural reasons leading to differences. It is hoped that under the guidance of cultural metaphor, this experimental study will vividly reflect the reality of China and Britain, help foreigners to learn English and Chinese, and promote cultural exchanges in Chinese and foreign negotiations.
