【摘要】：正《声韵学》作者曾运乾(1884—1945),字星笠,晚号枣园,湖南益阳人,是我国现代杰出的语言文字学家。其一生治学精审,"不苟为一言半语",故虽遗著不丰,然《尚书正读》、《毛诗说》、《声韵学》、《喻母古读考》、《声学五书叙》、《说文转注释例》等,皆亘古不易之作,其中尤以他创立的广韵声纽五十一类之说、古韵三十部说和"喻三归匣、喻四归定"等音韵学理论贡献最大。先生自幼聪颖,年十六考取益阳县学,"《尔雅》十三篇咸能成诵,一字不遗"。又以第一名选入湖南优级师范学堂,得受学于善化刘钜与湘阴郭焯莹等硕学名儒,研习文史而明古今学术之流变。后于1917年秋至1920年夏,执教于湖南省立第一师范,与徐特立、杨昌济、陈天倪等名师同校任课,并交谊甚笃。1926年5月,先生应沈阳东北大学王永江校长之聘,往任国文
