频率作用与语言非等及其对外语教学的启示

【摘要】:本文在基于使用的理论(usage-based theories)的框架下,从范例理论、连接主义等认知和心理语言学的角度,考察了频率作用与语言习得的关系,以及频率作用对外语教学的启示。频率作用的理论认为,语言学习是以范例(exemplar)为基础的,语言知识的熟练运用并不依靠抽象的语法规则,而是大脑对于经历过的大量语言范例的记忆,通过成千上万的范例抽象出语言的中心趋势。 本文通过搜集国内外各种关于频率作用的理论与实证研究,运用文献分析法对文献进行分类、整理并归纳,总结了频率作用理论研究的现状,并提出了将其运用到外语教学中的几条建议。文中主要分为三个部分:一是频率作用的文献综述,即它发展的理论历程,频率作用的内容等;二是列出了国内外关于输入频次和输出频次的实证研究;三是结合频率作用的内容和不足,,提出其对外语教与学的启示,比如如何优化输入和输出,频率作用与其它因素的共同影响,还肯定了背诵作为输入和输出结合的形式的重要作用。通过对这些内容的系统的梳理和讨论,指出了在外语教学中应该如何利用频率作用达到最好的学习效果,丰富了我国外语教学的内容,并探索了外语教与学的发展方向。
[Abstract]:In the framework of use-based theory (usage-based theories), this paper examines the relationship between frequency effect and language acquisition from the perspective of case theory, connectionism and psycholinguistics, as well as the enlightenment of frequency effect to foreign language teaching. The theory of frequency action holds that language learning is based on case (exemplar), and the skillful use of language knowledge does not rely on abstract grammatical rules, but on the brain's memory of a large number of language examples that have been experienced. Abstract the central trend of language through thousands of examples. Through collecting all kinds of theoretical and empirical research on frequency action at home and abroad, this paper classifies, collates and sums up the literature by using the method of literature analysis, and summarizes the present situation of the theoretical research of frequency action. Some suggestions on how to apply it to foreign language teaching are put forward. This paper is mainly divided into three parts: one is the literature review of frequency action, that is, the theoretical course of its development, the content of frequency action, etc., the other is to list the empirical research on input frequency and output frequency at home and abroad. Third, combined with the content and deficiency of frequency action, this paper puts forward its enlightenment to foreign language teaching and learning, such as how to optimize input and output, and the joint influence of frequency effect and other factors. The important role of recitation as a combination of input and output is also affirmed. Through the systematic combing and discussion of these contents, this paper points out how to use frequency to achieve the best learning effect in foreign language teaching, enriches the content of foreign language teaching in China, and explores the development direction of foreign language teaching and learning.
