美国NBA和中国CBA篮球比赛报道中的概念隐喻对比

【摘要】:Lakoff and Johnson于1980合著了《我们赖以生存的隐喻》一书,系统地提出了隐喻是人类的认知方式,存在于人的思维之中,概念隐喻研究从此开始风靡。 在以往关于隐喻的研究中,涉及隐喻在不同语料中的对比研究已经有很多。然而,在这些对比研究中,并没有针对中英体育赛事语料,特别是对篮球比赛赛况语料中的概念隐喻进行系统、全面地对比研究,而这正是本文研究目的。 本研究试图对美国NBA篮球比赛赛况及中国CBA篮球比赛赛况报道中的概念隐喻进行对比研究,找出两种报道中相同的概念隐喻,相同概念隐喻中不同的隐喻表达,以及不同的概念隐喻,并从文化角度考察其异同背后的原因。 本研究收集了中国CBA、美国NBA各150篇左右篮球比赛赛况报道,自建两个中英语料库,根据Lakoff, Johnson, Deignan, Kovecses等人提出的概念隐喻研究理论,通过通读整个语料库的方法,找出其中的概念隐喻,对其进行分类,然后采用antconc3.2.4语料库分析软件,找出相应的隐喻词在两个语料库中出现的频率,并排除该词的非隐喻义。接着对所找出的概念隐喻词进行分类、对比分析。本研究以概念隐喻为理论依据,并采用基于语料库的研究方法。 本研究发现,在汉语和英语的篮球比赛赛况报道中均存在着大量的概念隐喻,其中战争隐喻在NBA和CBA语料库中占隐喻总数的43.5%和54%,旅行隐喻居次,分别占26.9%和21.6%;空间隐喻位居第三,分别占10.3%和6.99%。对比中发现,表演隐喻、市场隐喻、旅行隐喻中的车辆隐喻、空间隐喻中垂直方向隐喻表达,机器隐喻在NBA语料库中所占的比例远远超过其在CBA语料库中的比例,而战争隐喻、颜色隐喻、身体隐喻在NBA语料库中的比重则低于在CBA语料库中的比例。 同时,本文对造成这些相同或不同的概念隐喻的原因进行了解释。基于对世界的相同认知,中英文篮球赛况的概念隐喻大体一致。但由于不同社会传统文化影响,不同的社会背景,对篮球比赛的不同认识,采用的概念隐喻会各有侧重。 本文对中英篮球比赛赛况的概念隐喻进行了系统、全面地对比研究,丰富了概念隐喻理论,同时有助于中美之间的篮球交流和合作。
[Abstract]:Lakoff and Johnson co-authored metaphor on our Survival in 1980, which systematically puts forward that metaphor is the cognitive way of human beings, which exists in human thinking, and the study of conceptual metaphor has been popular since then. In previous studies on metaphor, there have been many contrastive studies involving metaphor in different corpus. However, in these contrastive studies, there is no systematic and comprehensive contrastive study on the conceptual metaphors in the corpus of Chinese and English sports events, especially in the corpus of basketball matches, which is the purpose of this paper. This study attempts to make a comparative study of conceptual metaphors in the reports of NBA basketball matches in the United States and CBA basketball matches in China, and to find out the same conceptual metaphors in the two reports, and the different metaphorical expressions in the same conceptual metaphors. And different conceptual metaphors, and from the cultural point of view to examine the reasons behind their similarities and differences. This study collects about 150 reports on basketball match conditions in CBA, American NBA, China, and builds two Chinese and English databases. According to the conceptual metaphor research theory put forward by Lakoff, Johnson, Deignan, Kovecses et al., the whole corpus is read through the method of reading the whole corpus. Find out the conceptual metaphor, classify it, and then use antconc3.2.4 corpus analysis software to find out the frequency of the corresponding metaphorical words in the two corpus, and rule out the non-metaphorical meaning of the word. Then the concept metaphorical words are classified and compared. This study is based on conceptual metaphor and adopts corpus-based research method. In this study, it is found that there are a large number of conceptual metaphors in both Chinese and English basketball game reports, among which war metaphors account for 43.5% and 54% of the total metaphors in NBA and CBA corpus, and travel metaphors are in the second place. 26.9% and 21.6%, respectively. Spatial metaphor ranked third, accounting for 10.3% and 6.99%, respectively. In contrast, it is found that the proportion of performance metaphor, market metaphor, vehicle metaphor in travel metaphor, vertical metaphor expression in spatial metaphor, machine metaphor in NBA corpus is much higher than that in CBA corpus, while war metaphor. The proportion of color metaphor and body metaphor in NBA corpus is lower than that in CBA corpus. At the same time, this paper explains the causes of these same or different conceptual metaphors. Based on the same understanding of the world, the conceptual metaphors of Chinese and English basketball games are generally the same. However, due to the influence of different social traditional culture, different social background and different understanding of basketball match, the conceptual metaphor adopted will have its own emphasis. This paper makes a systematic and comparative study of the conceptual metaphor of Chinese and English basketball matches, enriches the theory of conceptual metaphor, and contributes to the basketball communication and cooperation between China and the United States.
