外语学习自主的原则—参数模型建构探索

【摘要】:本论文是针对“自主”这一复杂构念的理论研究,旨在构建一个外语学习自主的原则—参数模型,共由五章构成。 第一章介绍了本文的研究缘起、研究背景和研究方法。本研究有两个直接动因:其一,理论研究和实证研究是相辅相成的,但后者的质量往往决定于前者;其二,由于缺乏相关的系统论述,有关“自主”的术语用法随意,不能反映这一构念的丰富内涵。本研究所处的国际背景是二战后高等教育在世界范围内大幅扩张,趋于从精英教育转向大众教育进而普及高等教育;国内背景是持续的高等教育改革意识到了外语教育在政治、经济和文化上的战略地位。由于“自主”这一持续升温的研究热点中存在概念混淆和构思陷阱问题,本研究采取文献综述、逻辑论证、批判思考的研究方法,兼纳中外思想精粹。毋庸置疑,外语学习自主的概念和外语学习密切相关,而外语学习的概念则离不开对“学、教、育”三位一体的外语教育的理解。 因此,第二章着重于尝试对外语教育的定义和对外语教育应该是一门独立学科这一观点的论证。目前,外语教育往往被简单地认为是属于应用语言学的一个分支,而且,二语习得理论在外语教育领域也似乎过分地倍受青睐,因此,该章简要提及外语教育的国际催生环境和中国国内现状后,主要从应用语言学的学科发展状况、二语习得的学科本质、教育语言学的诞生记等方面着手从侧面佐证了外语教育和应用语言学、二语习得、教育语言学这三者在学科地位上的关系,并通过概括介绍外语教育在中国取得的成果从正面印证了外语教育作为独立学科的现实性。这样的论证不仅有助于外语教育的学科发展也增添了“自主”在该领域的学术内涵。可以说,外语教育是包括“学、教、育”三大活动和“学生、教师、机构”三大实体的一个复杂的生态系统;这意味着我们要注意到外语学习(自主)视角的多样性、灵活性和复杂性,暗示着我们看待外语学习(自主)时要避免片面性和单一性,反映了对目前这方面诸多庞杂观念进行重新梳理和整理的必要性,也说明了本文采用原则—参数模型这样一种充分考虑外语学习(自主)的复杂性的研究手法的必然性;这一全景式的手法有助于使“自主”在外语教育中真正成为一种新的研究范式。 第三章实际上论述了本文“为什么”以及“如何”采用“什么样”的原则—参数模型来说明什么是外语学习自主。该章首先重申了一点,即学习自主是中西智慧的结晶,而四十多年来研究者们对学习自主这一主题的持续关注则和西方学者最初在语言教育中对这一理念的推崇有关。在文献综述部分,该章从技术层面、心理层面、社会文化层面、政治及批判层面这四个维度对“学习者自主”、“教师自主”、“机构自主”这三大概念进行了概括总结,这不仅为该章最后提出的原则—参数模型的建构提供了坚实的基础,也便于我们区分七组不同的概念,即学习自主/学习者自主、教学自主/教师自主、办学自主/机构自主、自主学习/自主学习者、自主教学/自主教师、自主办学/自主机构、以及作为学习者的教师/具有教师身份的学习者。另外,该章辨析了关于“自主学习”的17个术语,有些术语对于理解自主学习只有干扰作用,比如自学、个性化教学、独自学习等,而有些术语则好比是“自主学习”这一只手上的手指,比如自助式学习、自我导向型学习、自我调节式学习等;这些术语的混淆也在一定程度上昭示者我们需要一种可以兼顾复杂性的理论来系统、有机地整合“学习自主”相关理论,而本文的原则—参数模型正是这样一种至少相对来说是兼具整体观和系统性的理论框架,可以囊括尽可能多的会影响某种“自主”自然显现的各种因素。 第四章进一步论证了本文中的原则—参数模型,该章的论证主要是通过说明在现在这个时代中学术身份的机动性、学科的交叉性、学术研究的相互借鉴性、以及学术领域建构的自成体系性来实现的;换言之,外语教育也是一门交叉学科,可以借鉴各种理论,可以有各种不同的视角,而其中的五种主要理论视角,即,语言学、心理学、认知科学、学习科学和社会学,在该章有简要阐述。 第五章总结了本研究的意义和不足。本研究考虑到了外语教育可借鉴理论的多样性并充分说明了外语学习自主的复杂性;本研究提出的原则—参数模型强调的是外语学习自主的动态性、多变性和自现性而不是其稳定性、不变性和独特性,,这可以拓展有关外语学习自主的本体研究和实证研究的研究范围;而本研究的不足,一方面源于本人的知识有限和在外语教学方面的经验和直觉在本研究中可能会起双刃剑作用,另一方面则是对原则—参数模型中的具体原则和参数需要做进一步的后续研究。
[Abstract]:This paper is a theoretical study of the complex structure of "self-determination", and aims at building a self-contained principle and parameter model of foreign language learning, which is composed of five chapters. The first chapter introduces the origin, the research background and the research party of this paper. This study has two direct motivation: one, the theoretical research and the empirical study are mutually reinforcing, but the latter's quality is often determined in the former; secondly, due to the lack of relevant systematic exposition, the term usage of the relevant "self-determination" will not reflect the rich in this structure The international background at this research institute is the major expansion of higher education in the world after the Second World War, which tends to turn from fine-to-English education to mass education and to popularize higher education; the domestic background is the continuous higher education reform, and the strategic place of foreign language education in the political, economic and cultural Because of the concept confusion and the concept trap problem in the research hot point of the continuous temperature rise of the "self-determination", this study takes the literature review, the logical demonstration, the research method of critical thinking, and the thought essence at home and abroad. Therefore, the second chapter focuses on the view that the definition of foreign language education and the education of foreign language should be an independent subject. At present, foreign language education is often regarded as a branch of the applied linguistics, and the second language acquisition theory seems to be more and more popular in the field of foreign language education. Therefore, the chapter briefly refers to the international production environment of foreign language education and China's domestic After the present situation, from the aspects of the subject development of the applied linguistics, the subject essence of second language acquisition and the birth of the educational linguistics, the three aspects of the foreign language education and the application of linguistics, the second language acquisition and the education linguistics are supported by the side. The demonstration of this chapter is mainly through the introduction of the mobility of the academic identity in the present age, the cross-cutting of the subject, the mutual reference of the academic research, and the self-forming in the academic field. The system is realized; in other words, foreign language education is a cross-discipline, and various theories can be used for reference, and the five main theoretical perspectives, namely, linguistics, psychology, cognitive science, learning science and sociology, are The chapter has a brief description.
