转喻在《围城》中的语篇衔接与连贯研究

自1980年Lakoff和Johnson的《我们赖以生存的隐喻》一书出版以来,隐喻作为认知机制的研究给传统修辞学带来了一场巨变。隐喻随之成为学术界关注的焦点,然而,转喻研究却一直扮演着“灰姑娘”的角色。20世纪80年代,转喻的研究寥寥无几。90年代后期,转喻研究逐渐受到重视,一些专著和论文集相继出版。近年来,转喻研究也逐渐引起不同领域的学者的关注。认知语言学认为转喻的实质是一种认知过程,即某个概念实体(喻体)为处于同一认知域或者理性认知模型中的另一概念实体(喻标)提供心理通道。小说这种文学体裁有其特殊性。文学语言虽源于生活,但作者为了追求文学艺术效果与美学价值,往往加强其修饰甚至改造。但转喻作为一种普遍的思维方式,在文学语言及日常语言中也充当着重要的角色。钱钟书的长篇小说《围城》家喻户晓,被誉为“喻海明珠”,为文学、美学、语言学等研究提供了丰富的语料。其中,语言学家从翻译学、语用学、认知语言学的角度对其进行过不少研究。但以《围城》整本著作为语料,从转喻的角度分析该著作的研究微乎其微,因此本文拟从认知转喻的角度来详细分析转喻在《围城》中的语篇衔接和连贯功能是如何体现的。本文通过质性研究分...
