《庄子》虚拟疑问句的认知修辞学研究

  纵观西方修辞学史,虽然对修辞的定义层出不穷,但无外乎以下三个方面的内容:描述修辞的本质特征,界定其研究的范围,明确其具有的功能(Enos2013)。从广义的角度来说,我们可以将修辞等同于“通过符号系统(包括语言)传递的、用来影响他人决策或行为的情感和思想中所蕴含的能量”(Kennedy 200.7:7)。换句话说,每当我们使用语言或者其它符号资源来表达情感和思想以达到影响他人的目的时,我们就是在从事修辞活动。从这个意义上说,修辞可以看作是“我们作为人类存在的一部分”(Herrick 2015:6),因而是一种普遍现象。鉴于修辞不仅受到“人类心智的基本操作和人类社会本质”的制约(Kennedy 1984:10),而且与“个体在所处环境中的行为和交际活动”密不可分(Oakley 2008:51),我们认为修辞与交际和认知之间存在密切的关联。本文将以先秦道家哲学文本《庄子》一书中的修辞实践为个案来探讨修辞、交际与认知三者之间的关系。本文共分七章。第一章引言部分,介绍了本文的研究动机、研究对象、研究问题、理论基础以及研究方法和语料。与先秦时期其它流派的思想家不同,以老子(公元前六世纪)和庄子(...
