性别语言研究之不足与补足

  性别差异研究是一个非常普遍的研究课题,人类学家、社会学家、心理学家都对它给予了重视。语言学也不例外,20世纪60年代,社会语言学作为语言学和社会学边缘学科首先在美国形成,性别差异就成为语言学界的热门话题,学者们开始运用社会语言学一些观点和理论探讨女性语言的特点。从80年代中期至90年代初期西方有关语言与性别的研究中,性别语言研究大多数在于男性与女性语言的差异问题,而这占据了绝对主导的地位。中国对“性别语言”的研究大都是对西方理论及发现的介绍。 本文首先梳理了西方性别语言的研究历程和研究内容,分析了性别差异在语言实践中的表现,以及产生这种差异的原因,不同的学派和学者也对性别语言差异提出了自己的理论,比如差异论、礼貌论、建构论等,这些理论的提出为更深入的研究提供了思路,丰富了社会语言学的研究内容,也为相关学科研究提供了素材。近年来,随着语言与性别研究不断扩大其在语言领域的研究分析范围,更随着研究方法和理论的不断突破、不断更新,研究进一步深入,已有的理论和方法其缺陷已逐步暴露出来,比如研究对象单一,女性理论的夸大化,过多强调两元对立,用“一元”的观点分析不同文化背景的性别差异等。只有了解存在...
