中英文化负载词的符号学对比分析

【摘要】：在我们生活中存在着形形色色的符号,每一个人时时刻刻也在使用各种符号,当然,语言也是人类使用的重要符号之一。语言是文化的载体文化也是语言的塑造者。作为语言的一个活跃部分,词汇明显地承载着人类的文化信息。英语中除了一部分核心词汇外,许多词都常带有特定的文化信息,即所谓的文化负载.词,这些词中的内涵意义常常成为学习者理解和使用英语的障碍。 本文从符号学的视角对英汉文化负载词展开了对比分析。主要理论依据来自皮尔斯的符号增长以及罗兰巴特的符号的层级系统。根据文化负载词在跨文化交际中所起的不同影响,将文化负载词分为具有相似内涵意义,具有不同内涵意义和内涵意义只存在于一种语言中这三种类型。在这三种类型分类的大框架下,每一种类型下又细致到颜色词,植物词,动物词,数字词以及方位词为主要对比对象,并采用大量文化负载词的例子来展开对比研究。本文还分析了产生这些文化内涵词其内涵意义异同的原因,涉及到地理环境,审美标准,思维方式,风俗习惯,以及宗教信仰等因素。最后,分别对于英语的教与学给出的一些意见。英语的学习,不仅是音标,词汇,语法等语言内部的学习,更是一种文化的交流。文化内涵词给跨文化交际造成了不少阻碍,所以,对文化内涵词的研究,非常有利于英汉文化的认识以及顺利进行跨文化交际,同时给词汇教学也指出了新的方向。
