【摘要】：《红楼梦》是中国古典文学的高峰,几乎涵盖了中国文化的各个方面。而称谓语作为人们日常生活中必不可少的部分在书中也是起着重要的作用。近年来随着对其英译本的研究日渐深入,越来越多的学者开始关注《红楼梦》英译本中对于称谓语的翻译。使其逐渐成为《红楼梦》译介研究的热点之一。陈毅平,严苡丹等从各自不同的视角对称谓语翻译进行了系统的论证。但其主要的研究对象是不同类型称谓语的翻译策略和对比。对于称谓语的误译研究却鲜有触及,究其原因主要是因为在此之前对于称谓语翻译缺乏全面的了解,并且对于其误译没有一套相对准确的评判标准。然而时至今日,由于有了陈、严等的系统论证作为基础,使得对称谓语误译的研究变得可行。本文中作者将其与语境理论相联系,得出了以下结论：首先,以语境理论为基石,通过将语境理论中的三种语境以及其各自的特点与翻译活动相结合,并且兼顾称谓语翻译研究中体现出的称谓语的特点,证明语境理论可以被用来作为评判称谓语误译的标准；其次,该理论在作为评判标准的同时,还可以对称谓语的误译进行合理地分类；再次,在此基础之上,通过对《红楼梦》的四个常用英译本中所出现的称谓语误译进行比较研究可以找出其共有的特点：其一,四个译本中称谓语的误译基本都集中在女性称谓上；其二,四个译本中都出现了对指代“王熙凤”的称谓语的误译。
[Abstract]:A Dream of Red Mansions is the peak of Chinese classical literature. Almost all aspects of Chinese culture are covered. As an indispensable part of people's daily life, appellations also play an important role in the book. More and more scholars have begun to pay attention to the translation of appellations in the English version of A Dream of Red Mansions, which has gradually become one of the hotspots in the study of the translation of A Dream of Red Mansions. Yan Yidan and others have systematically demonstrated the translation of address terms from different perspectives, but their main object of study is the translation strategy and comparison of different types of address terms. The main reason is the lack of a comprehensive understanding of address translation and the lack of a relatively accurate set of criteria for the translation of appellations. Yan et al.'s systematic argumentation makes it feasible to study the translation of symmetric predicates. In this paper, the author relates it to context theory and draws the following conclusions: firstly, context theory is the foundation stone. By combining the three contexts in context theory and their respective characteristics with translation activities, and taking into account the characteristics of address terms embodied in the study of address translation. It is proved that the theory of context can be used as a criterion to judge the mistranslation of address terms. Secondly, as a criterion, the theory can be classified reasonably by the false translation of symmetric predicates. Thirdly, on this basis, we can find out the common characteristics by comparing the mistranslation of appellations in four common English versions of A Dream of Red Mansions. The misinterpretation of appellations in the four versions is mainly focused on female appellations. Secondly, there is a misinterpretation of the appellations referring to Wang Xifeng in the four versions.
