[Abstract]:Shakespeare was a great playwright of the Renaissance. He contributed valuable theatrical treasures to human literature. Among the thousands of images and characters he created, Fool characters have been on the verge of language and literature research for their humble social status and the image of the difficult society. They make a living of clowns, gags, jokes and jokes in the play. There is no doubt that, The idiots' language and rhetoric are rich in content, bold, novel and profound. In recent years, they have been paid more and more attention by scholars. This paper studies the rhetorical language of the four most representative fool characters in Shakespeare's play, the touchstone of "everyone is happy", the "Fester" of < 12th Night], the "eventually married couple" Lavach and the fool in King Lear. Collecting a large number of idiots, classifying and analyzing their theatrical commonalities and dramatic functions, and expounding that they have important appreciation and research value in Shakespeare's dramas. At the same time, using the relevant theories of cognitive metaphor to explore the rhetorical characteristics and cognitive mechanism of the role of fools, this paper analyzes the formation process of metaphorical rhetoric from a cognitive perspective and finds out the similarities and differences between them. It also tries to verify that the figures of speech can reflect the psychological characteristics and cognitive space of the characters, and at the same time, aiming at the difficulties encountered by the translator in translating idiots' figures of speech, a contrastive study of several classical Shakespeare's versions is carried out by means of the cognitive metaphorical translation view. To explore appropriate and effective translation strategies. The study of metaphor has experienced a transformation from traditional rhetoric to cognitive metaphor. More and more researches show that, in addition to metaphor, metaphor, metonymy, personification and other rhetorical figures are metaphorical in nature. From a cognitive point of view, there are different types of conceptual metaphors that reflect people's views on things based on their life experiences. This paper argues that metaphorical cognitive theory can provide a powerful analytical tool for the construction of metaphorical rhetoric and the mental process of translation. Applying it to Shakespeare's study can provide a new perspective for Shakespeare's study. The present study attempts to analyze several types of metaphorical rhetoric (metaphor, metaphor, metonymy, personification) of idiots by using metaphorical cognitive theory to explore the psychological process and cognitive motivation of idiots using different images to construct figures of speech. This paper attempts to prove the cognitive space in which the rhetorical figures reflect the characters, and at the same time, examines the existing versions of Bian Zhilin, Fang Ping, Liang Shiqiu, Ruan arsenic and Zhu Shenghao, and analyzes the translation of idiots by using the metaphorical cognitive translation theory, and concludes three different translation strategies. It is hoped that the study of the rhetoric and translation of this kind of role from the perspective of cognitive linguistics can provide a new perspective for the translation of Shakespeare's figures of speech.
