英语儿童文学的汉译策略

【摘要】: 儿童文学在儿童成长过程中起十分重要的作用,它为儿童提供了一个美妙的精神世界,使他们在享受快乐的同时获得知识。翻译活动不仅实现了儿童文学在世界范围内的传播和交流,更为儿童文学创作和理论发展提供了充足的材料。 然而作为文学翻译的一个分支,儿童文学翻译远未受到应有的重视。我国的儿童文学翻译在理论研究和实践两方面的发展极不平衡:大量儿童文学的译作涌入国门,却因为成人化语言或改写等原因而造成译作总体质量不高;理论方面更是落后,目前就儿童文学的翻译研究尚未系统展开,至今还没有公开出版的关于儿童文学翻译研究的书籍。即便有关于儿童文学翻译的论述,也大多是基于经验基础上的体会或以某个理论为基础的译作评论,,对翻译实践的指导性不强。 译作总体质量不高,理论研究远远滞后的现状不容忽视,儿童文学翻译的深入研究迫在眉睫。本文拟文本为依据,重视儿童读者,通过对文本实例和儿童自身特点的分析,探讨有助于儿童文学翻译实践的策略,以期引起更多翻译研究者的关注和重视,从而促进儿童文学翻译的发展。 回顾以往研究概况之后,文章论述了儿童文学的基本知识,包括其定义、分类、语言特点、优秀作品的特点等,旨在对译者挑选优秀原作有所帮助。既而分析了儿童在每个阶段的心理特点和语言特色,使译者明确,应根据译本所适合的读者特点选择恰当的表达方式。 针对儿童文学翻译中普遍存在的改写缩写现象,笔者提出儿童文学作品应该全译,以保持原作内容的完整性和准确性。而对于译作中的成人化语言,笔者认为建立读者常用词汇库是很有效的策略。它可以指导译者的用词靠近读者的语言层次,从而避免用词过于艰涩难懂。 在翻译过程中,译者应以原文文本为根本依据和出发点,这是所有原则和策略中最重要的一条,是由译者的根本任务决定的,即确定文本的意义并以适当的形式表达出来。翻译方法主张以意译为主,使译作的语言既规范又符合儿童特点,即准确、简洁、生动、悦耳。具体策略:根据上下文确定词、句的意思来保证准确;对于过长过难的句子,建议理清层次关系,用短句和连接结构处理,以实现简洁;通过排比、双关等修辞手段使语言生动;利用节奏、押韵、拟声来产生悦 耳效果。文化方面,主张采用异化为主、归化为辅的策略,使读者能在阅读过 程中感受到异国的文化和环境,同时又实现翻译的最终目的,促进跨文化交流和 传播。
[Abstract]:Children's literature plays a very important role in the process of children's development. It provides a wonderful spiritual world for children and enables them to acquire knowledge while enjoying happiness.Translation activities not only achieve the spread and exchange of children's literature in the world, but also provide sufficient materials for the creation and theoretical development of children's literature.However, as a branch of literary translation, children's literary translation is far from receiving due attention.The development of children's literature translation in our country is very unbalanced in theory and practice: a large number of children's literature translations pour into our country, but because of the reasons of adult language or rewriting, the overall quality of translation is not high, and the theory is even more backward.At present, the translation studies on children's literature have not been carried out systematically, and no books on children's literature translation have been published.Even though there are some expositions on children's literature translation, they are mostly based on experience or comments on translation based on a certain theory, which is not very instructive to translation practice.The quality of translation is not high, the theoretical research lags far behind, and it is urgent to study the translation of children's literature.Based on the text, this paper focuses on the children's readers. Through the analysis of the examples of the text and the children's own characteristics, this paper discusses the strategies that are helpful to the translation practice of children's literature, so as to attract more attention and attention from the translation researchers.So as to promote the development of children's literature translation.After reviewing the previous studies, this paper discusses the basic knowledge of children's literature, including its definition, classification, language characteristics and the characteristics of excellent works, in order to help the translator to select the best original works.Therefore, the psychological and linguistic characteristics of children at each stage are analyzed to make it clear that appropriate expressions should be chosen according to the reader's characteristics of the translation.Aiming at the phenomenon of rewriting abbreviations in children's literature translation, the author puts forward that children's literary works should be fully translated in order to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the original works.For the adult language, the author thinks that it is an effective strategy to establish the common vocabulary database of readers.It can guide the translator to use words close to the language level of the reader, thus avoiding too difficult to understand.In the process of translation, the translator should take the original text as the basic basis and starting point. This is the most important of all principles and strategies, which is determined by the translator's basic task, that is, to determine the meaning of the text and express it in an appropriate form.The translation method advocates that the translation should be based on free translation so that the language can be standardized and accord with the characteristics of children, that is, accurate, concise, vivid and pleasing to the ear.Specific strategies: to determine the meaning of words and sentences according to the context to ensure accuracy; for those sentences that are too long and difficult, it is recommended to clear up the hierarchical relationship and use short sentences and connective structures to achieve simplicity.A rhetorical device, such as a pun, that makes language lively; uses rhythm, rhyme, and onomatopoeia to produce pleasure.Ear effectIn the cultural aspect, we advocate the strategy of using alienation as the priority, and domestication as the auxiliary, so that readers can read in the past.While feeling the exotic culture and environment in the process, the ultimate goal of translation is to promote cross-cultural exchange and communication.Dissemination.
