试论翻译小说对中国近代小说的影响

【摘要】： 中国近代小说(1840年—1919年)是中国近代文学的一个重要的组成部分,是介于古典小说的终结与现代小说的开端之间的过渡时期的文学活动,这一时期小说的发展和繁荣除了从传统文化自身汲取养分之外更显著的特点是受到了大规模的域外小说的影响,而域外小说影响近代小说又是通过中介物—翻译小说而实现的。本文试图立足于比较文学的视野下,运用影响研究的方法来分析近代小说受到翻译小说的冲击之后在观念、类型、叙事方式、艺术技巧等方面所发生的变化。本文第一部分分三个阶段简要叙述近代小说与近代翻译小说的概况及其相互之间的关系;第二部分重点论述近代小说在形式方面受到翻译小说的影响之后所发生的变化:在小说观念上,由小说是“小道”而渐变为“小说为文学之最上乘”;在小说类型上,由传统小说类型之外增加了政治小说、科学小说、侦探小说和教育小说;在小说叙事模式上,叙事时间、叙事角度、叙事结构都发生了很大的变化;在小说表现技巧上,增加了人物心理描写、自然景物烘托和浓厚的抒情意味。第三部分简要分析近代小说在接受翻译小说过程中的“误读”。近代小说在翻译小说影响下所发生的变化经过近代小说家的吸收、消化已经渗透到近代民族文学之中,经过发展和演变,已经成为近代文学的灵魂与风貌的一个有机的组成部分。
[Abstract]:Modern Chinese novels (1840-1919) are an important part of modern Chinese literature and a transitional period between the end of classical novels and the beginning of modern novels. The development and prosperity of novels in this period, apart from absorbing nutrients from traditional culture itself, are influenced by large-scale extraterritorial novels, and the influence of foreign novels on modern novels is realized by means of intermediate-translated novels. Based on the perspective of comparative literature, this paper attempts to use the method of influence study to analyze the changes in concepts, types, narrative methods and artistic skills of modern novels after being impacted by translated novels. The first part of this paper briefly describes the general situation and the relationship between modern novels and modern translated novels in three stages. The second part focuses on the changes that have taken place after the form of modern novels has been influenced by the translation of novels: in the concept of novels, the novel has gradually changed from a "small path" to "novel is the best of literature", and in the novel type, Political novels, scientific novels, detective novels and educational novels are added to the traditional novel types; the narrative mode, the narrative time, the narrative angle and the narrative structure have all changed greatly in the novel narrative mode; in the novel performance skills, there have been great changes in the novel narrative mode, the narrative time, the narrative angle and the narrative structure. Increase the psychological description of characters, natural scenery and strong lyrical flavor. The third part briefly analyzes the "misreading" of modern novels in the process of accepting translated novels. The changes of modern novels under the influence of translated novels have been absorbed by modern novelists, digested and permeated into modern national literature through development and evolution. It has become an organic part of the soul and style of modern literature.
