《西游记》英译本中人名的翻译审美再现

【摘要】：《西游记》以神魔为主要描写对象，它创造了一个神奇的充满幻想的世界，是中国著名的神话小说。书中人物众多，不但形象生动,而且人物命名都一定原因和特点。人名形象性和多样性，充分展示了书中的艺术魅力和文学之美。那么，书中的人名翻译对英译本再现原文之美的作用就显得十分重要，不可小觑。中国译学理论与美学联姻，是中国译学理论的特点。翻译美学理论的发展，其理论概念、分类和阐述趋于理性化、科学化。越来越多的学者开始关注如何用翻译美学理论研究翻译实践。《西游记》是我国文学史的瑰宝，具有非常高的美学价值。但是却鲜少有人对其英译本进行过翻译美学方面的研究。以翻译美学理论为基础，，对《西游记》詹纳\英译本中各类人名翻译进行研究。成文的过程中，对英译本的人名采用穷尽方法收集,列表成库,然后选取典型人名翻译例子进行翻译方法的分析，并且分析译者如何运用多样的翻译方法成功地做到翻译的审美再现。通过归纳分析得出詹纳尔主要运用了音译、直译、意译、省译、补译以及多种翻译方法综合运用的方法进行人名翻译，并且主要使用动态模仿的方式进行翻译的审美再现。他成功地再现了原文的音美、简洁美、统一美、修辞美、野性美、怪诞美和庄严美。《西游记》英译本中人名翻译的许多方法，对翻译文学作品中的人名翻译有很好的借鉴作用。詹纳尔在此英译本中体现的译者素质和为了再现原文之美的所作的努力是值得许多翻译学习者学习的。
[Abstract]:"Journey to the West" takes the gods and demons as the main object of description. It creates a magical world full of illusions and is a famous mythological novel in China. There are many characters in the book, not only vivid, but also the naming of characters are certain reasons and characteristics. The visualization and diversity of human names fully demonstrate the artistic charm and literary beauty in the book. Therefore, the translation of human names in the book plays an important role in reproducing the beauty of the original text. The combination of Chinese translation theory and aesthetics is the characteristic of Chinese translation theory. The development of translation aesthetics theory, its theoretical concept, classification and elaboration tend to be rational and scientific. More and more scholars begin to pay attention to how to use translation aesthetics theory to study translation practice. "Journey to the West" is a treasure of Chinese literary history and has a very high aesthetic value. However, there are few studies on the translation aesthetics of his English translation. Based on the theory of translation aesthetics, this paper studies the translation of various human names in Jenner's English translation of Journey to the West. In the process of writing, the names of people in the English translation are collected by exhaustive method, listed into a database, and then some typical examples of people's names translation are selected to analyze the translation methods. It also analyzes how the translator successfully achieves the aesthetic representation of translation using various translation methods. Through the inductive analysis, it is concluded that Jenner mainly uses transliteration, literal translation, free translation, provincial translation, supplementary translation and multiple translation methods to carry out the translation of human names, and mainly uses dynamic imitation for aesthetic reproduction of translation. He successfully reproduced the beauty of sound, simplicity, unity, rhetoric, wild beauty, grotesque beauty and majestic beauty of the original text. It can be used for reference in the translation of people's names in literary works. The translator's qualities and efforts to reproduce the beauty of the original text embodied by Jenner in this English translation are worth learning by many translation learners.
