前景化视角下《围城》语言变异的翻译

【摘要】：文学作家常倾向于采用语言变异来展现自己的想法，实现新颖性和审美认知，语言变异也愈发成为文学领域中独具魅力的主题。然而，复杂的语言变异现象可能会阻碍译者在译语中成功再现原作。目前对于小说中变异的研究仍然不够或自相矛盾，因此，本文选取珍妮·凯利和茅国权合作完成的《围城》英译本的前五章为语料，系统分析《围城》中各层面语言变异的翻译。基于利奇和李杰的分类，，文章系统总结了小说中语言变异的类别。作者详细分析语言变异的概念和不同层面变异的特点，在前景化理论的指导下尝试性提出了翻译模式。通过对比分析原文与英译本中的具体例子，判断翻译过程是否成功再现了小说中语言变异的前景化过程，表明前景化理论对翻译实践的适用性。讨论结果显示，一方面，译者有必要在译文中保持原作语言变异的前景化过程，有时也需要进行适当的改动。研究表明，前景化理论能够为文学欣赏提供文体价值，它也是翻译活动的重要指导。
[Abstract]:Literary writers often tend to use language variation to show their ideas and realize novelty and aesthetic cognition. Language variation has become an attractive theme in literature field. However, complex language variation may prevent the translator from successfully reproducing the original in the target language. At present, the study of variation in the novel is still insufficient or contradictory. Therefore, the first five chapters of the English translation of besieged City by Jenny Kelly and Mao Guoquan are selected as the corpus. A systematic analysis of the translation of language variations at all levels in besieged cities. Based on the classification of Leech and Li Jie, this paper systematically summarizes the categories of language variation in the novel. The author makes a detailed analysis of the concept of language variation and the characteristics of variation at different levels. Under the guidance of the theory of foregrounding, the author tries to put forward a translation model. By comparing and analyzing the concrete examples in the original text and the English translation, the author tries to judge whether the translation process successfully reproduced the foregrounding process of the language variation in the novel, which shows the applicability of the foregrounding theory to the translation practice. The results show that, on the one hand, it is necessary for the translator to maintain the foregrounding process of the original language variation in the target text, and sometimes to make appropriate changes. The research shows that the theory of foregrounding can provide literary appreciation with stylistic value and it is also an important guide for translation activities.
