【摘要】：在英汉翻译过程当中,英语长句的处理是一个重要的翻译难点。英语长句往往层次复杂,结构上包含多重从句,这与汉语形成了鲜明的对比,因此,译者想要用顺畅的汉语准确表达原文的意思,需要一定的翻译技巧。本文以刘宓庆等提出的英语长句处理方法为依托,透过《死亡、昏睡、旅行客》这个后现代文学翻译项目看英语长句的翻译,从顺序法、切断法和综合法三个方面分析后现代小说中英语长句的翻译策略。文章最后得出结论,在《死亡、昏睡、旅行客》这部小说的翻译过程中,刘宓庆等提出的英语长句翻译策略很有实用价值,但与此同时,在翻译文学作品的时候,译者应当充分考虑原作者的创作意图,灵活运用多种翻译方法,保留作品的文学性。
[Abstract]:In the process of English-Chinese translation, the processing of English long sentences is an important difficulty in translation. English long sentences are often complicated in hierarchy and contain multiple clauses, which is in sharp contrast with Chinese. Therefore, the translator needs some translation skills to express the meaning of the original in a smooth and accurate manner. Based on the long sentence processing method proposed by Liu Miqing and others, this paper looks at the translation of English long sentences from the sequential approach through the post-modern literary translation project "death, drowsiness, traveller". This paper analyzes the translation strategies of long English sentences in postmodern novels. Finally, the paper concludes that in the translation of death, drowsiness and traveller, Liu Miqing's translation strategy of English long sentences is of great practical value, but at the same time, when translating literary works, it is of great practical value. The translator should fully consider the original author's creative intention and flexibly use various translation methods to preserve the literariness of the work.
