对中国古典诗歌在庞德的《华夏集》中的再生的研究

【摘要】:本文旨在通过对庞德之译作《华夏集》进行详细的分析,从而论证中国古典诗歌在《华夏集》中的再生。 解构主义思潮早已波及翻译理论界,且对传统翻译理论产生冲击。解构主义翻译理论的奠基人本雅明在其《译者的任务》一文中提出一种全新的原文与译文的关系,即“此生”与“来世”的关系。而庞德借助于费诺罗萨的手稿翻译并出版的《华夏集》正是印证了这一关系,因此该译作在汉诗英译的历史上占有独特的地位。尽管国内许多学者和翻译家认为《华夏集》不能算是一部翻译作品,因为由于庞德不精通汉语,其翻译是自由式的创作,使得该译本充满了许多不确切、甚至错误之处。但是在西方二十世界上叶《华夏集》却大受诗人、学者欢迎,并对当时的意象派诗歌创作起到了深远的影响。为了更好地理解《华夏集》,本文循着本雅明的思路来分析中国古典诗歌如何在庞德的译作《华夏集》中获得再生。 解构主义作为一种对结构主义的反叛的反传统思潮,解构了传统哲学的二元对立,并将这一等级秩序颠倒过来。本雅明正是颠倒了传统的原文—译文关系,提出译文不再依附于原文,而是原文生命的延续。 作为意象派领袖之一的庞德对中国古典诗歌的认识得益于东方学家、诗人费诺罗萨。在翻译过程中,他力求按照原文的手法直接处理事物,并提出要翻译诗歌中“无法破坏”的部分。其译作《华夏集》的出版在当时的美国诗坛及社会都引起了巨大轰动,既赢得了高度赞誉,又遭到了严厉批评。 为了达到自己的诗歌翻译效果,庞德用客观呈现意象的抒情方式,用英美读者不熟悉的近似汉诗的句法结构来翻译汉诗中的意象并置,并在选题上精心安排,,选择战争、离愁
[Abstract]:This paper aims to demonstrate the regeneration of Chinese classical poetry in the book of China through the detailed analysis of pound's translation of the anthology of Huaxia. Deconstruction has long spread to the field of translation theory and has impacted on the traditional translation theory. Benjamin, the founder of deconstruction translation theory, puts forward a new relationship between the source text and the target text, that is, the relationship between "this life" and "afterlife". With the help of Fenorossa's manuscripts, Ponder's Chinese anthology confirms this relationship, so the translation occupies a unique position in the history of Chinese-English translation. Although many domestic scholars and translators think that Huaxia Collection cannot be regarded as a translation work, because pound is not proficient in Chinese, his translation is freestyle, which makes the translation full of many imprecise and even wrong points. However, in the 20th century in the West, the anthology of China was welcomed by poets and scholars, and had a profound influence on the poetic creation of imagism at that time. In order to better understand Huaxia, this paper analyzes how classical Chinese poetry can be reborn in pound's translation of Huaxia. Deconstruction, as an anti-traditional trend of thought against structuralism, deconstructs the dualistic opposition of traditional philosophy and reverses this hierarchical order. Benjamin reversed the traditional original-translation relationship and proposed that the translation is no longer attached to the original, but a continuation of the original life. As one of the leaders of Imagism, pound's understanding of Chinese classical poetry benefited from the oriental scholar and poet Finolosa. In the process of translation, he tries to deal with things directly according to the original method, and proposes to translate the "unbreakable" part of poetry. The publication of his translation of "Chinese anthology" caused a great sensation in American poetry circles and society at that time, which won both high praise and severe criticism. In order to achieve his own poetry translation effect, pound uses the lyric way of objectively presenting the image, using the syntactic structure of the similar Chinese poem which is unfamiliar to the English and American readers, to translate the image juxtaposition in the Chinese poem, and carefully arranging the topic, choosing the war, leaving sorrow.
