概念整合理论下唐诗中“山”意象的翻译研究浅析

【摘要】:唐诗是中国重要的文化瑰宝之一,唐朝时期的诗歌被认为是中国诗歌创作的顶峰时期;而唐诗中大量意象的使用使其更加具有艺术魅力。其中,“山”作为唐诗中极常用且具有文化特色的意象。然而,如何将其在翻译中充分而合理的传达却没有得到人们足够的重视和研究。以往学者在研究唐诗意象的翻译时,往往是用传统的翻译理论对意象的翻译方法进行规定,(比如直译,意译,音译,加注等),却没能够从认知的角度去探索意象翻译的思维过程;而对意象的研究也同样不够深入,故而本文采用概念整合理论(Conceptual Integration Theory)去探索唐诗中“山”意象的翻译,去解析译者的翻译过程。 本文运用的理论主要是概念整合理论。概念整合理论是上世纪八十年代起开始兴起的认知语言学范畴内的一种理论,虽然谈不上完备,但是这一理论已经在很多应用中体现出了强大的解释力和可操作性。概念整合理论认为,当人在进行认知操作过程时,大脑中会产生一系列的基于心理空间的整合操作,而翻译是一种典型的认知活动,因此可以用概念整合理论来探索翻译过程中译者的思维过程。 本文首先介绍了唐诗意象的翻译研究现状和概念整合理论的产生,发展,主要内容,及所遵循原则,然后对概念整合理论在翻译上应用的研究现状进行了回顾。我国很多学者提出了各自的翻译的概念整合模型,本文对其中一些模型进行了列举,并在此基础上进行完善,运用概念整合理论对翻译过程进行了分析。将翻译过程为三个步骤,第一个步骤为解整合过程(de-integration),是对原意象所形成的概念整合理论的解构;第二个步骤为整合过程(integration)是对意象在译入语中的重构过程;第三步为再整合过程(re-integration)是对翻译成果的检验。最后根据在整合过程中的不同方式,将“山”意象的概念整合过程分为完全对应(full corresponding),半对应(semi-corresponding)(包括认知意义对应及语言结构对应),以及无对应(non-corresponding),并分别举例加以说明。 本论文能够说明概念整合理论对唐诗中“山”意象的翻译具有强大的解释力,并且能够使用本文提出的模式解释意象翻译的过程;然而翻译过程的研究毕竟博大精深,本文仅能起到抛砖引玉的作用,,若能借此引出更多学者对该领域的研究,那么便能进一步解决翻译理论研究中的更多问题。
[Abstract]:Tang poetry is one of the most important cultural treasures in China. The poetry of Tang Dynasty is considered to be the peak period of Chinese poetry creation, and the use of a large number of images in Tang poetry makes it more artistic charm. Among them, Mountain is a very common and cultural image in Tang poetry. However, how to communicate fully and reasonably in translation has not been paid enough attention and studied. In the past, when studying the translation of Tang poetry images, scholars often use the traditional translation theory to regulate the translation methods of images, such as literal translation, free translation, transliteration. However, the study of image is not deep enough. Therefore, this paper uses the theory of conceptual integration to explore the translation of the "mountain" image in Tang poetry by means of conceptual integration theory (Conceptual Integration Theory), but it can not explore the thinking process of image translation from a cognitive point of view. To analyze the translator's translation process. The theory used in this paper is mainly conceptual integration theory. Conceptual integration theory is a kind of theory in the field of cognitive linguistics that began to rise in 1980s. Although it is not complete, it has already shown strong explanatory power and maneuverability in many applications. Conceptual integration theory holds that a series of integrated operations based on psychological space will occur in the brain when people are engaged in cognitive manipulation, and translation is a typical cognitive activity. Therefore, the conceptual integration theory can be used to explore the translator's thinking process in the process of translation. This paper first introduces the present situation of translation studies of Tang poetry imagery and the emergence, development, main contents and principles followed by the theory of conceptual integration, and then reviews the present situation of research on the application of conceptual integration theory in translation. Many scholars in China have put forward their own conceptual integration models of translation, some of which have been listed and perfected in this paper, and the process of translation has been analyzed by using the theory of conceptual integration. The process of translation is divided into three steps: the first step is the process of unconformity (de-integration), which is the deconstruction of the conceptual integration theory formed by the original image, the second step is the process of integration (integration) is the process of reconstruction of the image in the target language. The third step is the process of reintegration (re-integration), which is the test of translation results. Finally, according to the different ways in the process of integration, the conceptual integration process of "mountain" image is divided into complete corresponding (full corresponding), semi-correspondence (semi-corresponding) (including cognitive meaning correspondence and linguistic structure correspondence), and no correspondence (non-corresponding). This thesis is able to illustrate that the conceptual integration theory has a strong explanatory power on the translation of the "mountain" image in Tang poetry, and can explain the process of image translation using the model proposed in this paper. However, the study of the translation process is extensive and profound. This paper can only serve as a source of inspiration. If more scholars can be drawn from the research in this field, more problems in translation theory can be solved further.
