[Abstract]:As the most concise and concentrated form of literature, poetry is the essence of national language and the crystallization of culture. Chinese classical poetry is a concentrated reflection of Chinese traditional culture, which contains rich cultural connotations. The beauty of ancient poetry seeks only images. The careful construction of image is a major feature of Chinese classical poetry. Image is the basic core of poetry, and the essence of image interpretation is to realize the communication between different cultures. The quality of the translation of ancient poetry is to see whether the image is good or bad. Image interpretation is an important part of deep cultural communication among different nationalities. This paper attempts to explore the interpretation of poetic imagery from the perspective of culture in order to explain how to retain the cultural features and cultural charm of the imagery of Chinese classical poetry so as to better promote the communication and communication between Chinese and Western cultures. The full text is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the importance of poetic imagery interpretation. Image is the basic core of poetry, and the essence of image interpretation is to realize the communication between different cultures. The second chapter is the literature review part. With the development of translation studies and the increasing frequency of cross-cultural communication, more and more translation researchers have shifted their perspectives from the linguistic perspective to the cultural level. Basnette and Lefevere even regard culture as the basic unit of translation, arguing that the study of culture should shift to the study of translation phenomenon. Based on this change of cognition in translation studies, the author holds that the essence of poetic image interpretation is a cross-cultural communicative activity, and puts forward two basic methods of image interpretation: transplanting and rewriting. Chapter three deals with the cultural factors in the interpretation of poetic imagery. Based on the outline of the concept of image in Chinese and western literary theory, the definition of image is made. Then it analyzes the cultural factors in the image of Chinese classical poetry from two aspects: cultural deficiency and cultural differences. Cultural deficiency refers to the lack of western cultural understanding of the cultural images of classical Chinese poetry in the aspects of allusions, symbols, metaphors, social customs, etc. The cultural differences include the form and significance of Chinese and Western images, The difference in association and different aesthetic culture. Chapter four discusses two basic methods of image interpretation in classical Chinese poetry: transplantation and rewriting. Both of them aim to preserve the cultural style and charm of the source language and to achieve the goal of cross-cultural communication. Under the guidance of these two basic methods, this paper discusses four basic ways of interpreting cultural images in Chinese classical poetry: the retention of images, the flexibility of images, the increase of images, and the omission of images. Chapter five is the conclusion. Transplantation and rewriting provide a new perspective for image interpretation of Chinese classical poetry. In the globalization of today, this will be more and more important for the cultural exchange between different nationalities.
