基于语料库的汉译英文学作品翻译共性研究

【摘要】：本文试图通过语料库的研究方法对汉译英文学作品进行翻译共性研究。目前,普遍接受的翻译共性假说包括显化,简化,规范化和整齐化。随着这个新兴领域的发展,一些新的翻译语言特征被列入翻译共性的行列。然而,大部分翻译共性的研究是基于英语及其相关的欧洲语言。一些研究证实翻译共性的假设存在而另一些则否定翻译共性。因此,能否将翻译语言的这些语言特征称为“共性”仍是一个有待解决问题。因此,通过英语文学作品和汉译英文学作品来研究翻译共性是非常重要的。本研究基于自建的可比语料库对翻译共性进行证实或证否。该语料库由两个子语料库组成：NEc语料库和cEc语料库。具体而言,本研究通过比较两个语料库来研究简化和显化,主要通过以下手段：标准化类符形符比、词汇密度、词长、平均句长、报告动词后that的使用、in order的使用、缩写、连词和主语人称代词的使用。本研究结果显示,简化和显化的假设在汉译英文学作品中的存在仍然是不可确定的。因此,不能证明简化和显化是翻译的“共性”。
[Abstract]:This paper attempts to study the translation generality of Chinese-English translation works by means of corpus research. At present, the commonly accepted translation generality hypothesis includes explicit, simplification, standardization and neatness. With the development of this new field, some new features of translation language are included in the list of translation commonalities. However, most studies of translation commonalities are based on English and its related European languages. Some studies confirm the hypothesis of translation commonness while others deny translation commonness. Therefore, whether we can call these linguistic features "common" is still a problem to be solved. Therefore, it is very important to study translation generality through English literary works and English translation works. This study is based on a self-built comparable corpus to verify translation commonalities. This corpus is composed of two sub-corpora: NEC Corpus and cEc Corpus. In particular, this study studies simplification and demonstration by comparing two corpora, mainly through the following methods: standardized class shape / character ratio, lexical density, word length, average sentence length, use of that after reporting in order, abbreviations, The use of conjunctions and subjective personal pronouns. The results of this study show that the assumptions of simplification and manifestation are still indeterminate in Chinese-English translation. Therefore, it is impossible to prove that simplification and manifestation are the "commonness" of translation.
