[Abstract]:As early as the 1980s, the retranslation of literary classics attracted extensive attention and discussion in the field of translation, such as Lu Xun, Zheng Shiding, Liu Xiaoli, Luo Xinzhang, Xu Jun-bian, Humboldt, Gadamer, Snell-Hornby and so on. However, scholars have different views on the emergence of retranslation. Different diachronic or synchronic perspectives of the translator's understanding, the value of the original text and so on are considered to be the factors contributing to the emergence of multiple versions. It is impossible to see the nature of re translation.
In fact, as far as the translation of literary classics is concerned, the so-called "final version" or "ideal model" does not exist, so a translation can only be an understanding of the original, an exposition. With the development and change of the times and languages, it seems that the former translation may no longer adapt to the development of new forms or the fusion of Horizons in different historical periods. The original text can be interpreted from different diachronic or synchronic perspectives. To some extent, the study of retranslation has gained some development and attention, but if we talk about retranslation from a philosophical point of view, the study of the underlying causes is still far from being complete. Far from enough.
In recent years, with the further development of translation studies, the importance of retranslation as a form of understanding and understanding has become a hot topic in translation circles, and the need to look at translation from a broad perspective has been recognized. Looking at the reasons behind retranslation, we can solve the problem of retranslation in translation studies more deeply. At present, the subjectivity of translation and the cultural status of the translator have become one of the hot topics in retranslation studies and one of the focuses of theoretical circles. Husserl's Philosophy of Phenomenology, Hegelian Existentialism, Gadamer's Hermeneutics and Habermas'Theory of Communicative Action Interactive subjectivity theory holds that all the factors involved in the process of literary masterpiece retranslation are subject, including the author, the original translator, the retranslator, the reader, the original, the original translation, the retranslated text, the initiator, the publisher or the sponsor of the translation, and so on. Co-existence, interaction, mutual negation, mutual coordination, mutual communication, in the intersubjective relationship, retranslation is the result of their dialogue on this basis. This paper points out that it is precisely because of these unique characteristics between the subjects that retranslation of literary works is not only possible, but also inevitable.
On the basis of previous studies on retranslation, this paper attempts to explore the phenomenon of retranslation of classics on the basis of philosophical interactive subjectivity from the current domestic research situation. It is worth mentioning that this is the author's shallow attempt to combine western philosophy with translation studies. Based on the analysis of the core content of translation in the theory of interactive subjectivity, this paper compares and analyzes the translations of Zhang Guruo and Dong Qiusi of Dickens'masterpiece David Copperfield from the perspective of interactive subjectivity theory, and expounds the birthdays of the two successful re-translations. The true cause of life is to make the research more believable and objective.
