传播学视域下中国文化走出去与翻译策略选择——以《红楼梦》英译为例

【摘要】:本文以杨宪益、霍克斯译著《红楼梦》为例,从传播学视域探讨中国文化走出去与翻译策略选择的关系。指出中国文化对外传播以异化为主的观点忽视了以美国为主导的西方国家和地区的读者文化接受能力和立场。认为当前乃至今后相当长的时期内,中国文化走出去既需中国译者偏向异化的译本,更需国外汉学家偏向归化的译本,"归化为主,异化为辅",相辅相成,满足不同类型读者之需,切实推进中国文化走出去。
[Abstract]:Taking Yang Xianyi and Hawkes' translated book A Dream of Red Mansions as an example, this paper explores the relationship between Chinese cultural outreach and the choice of translation strategies from the perspective of communication. The author points out that the foreign communication of Chinese culture is mainly dissimilation and neglects the readers' cultural acceptance ability and position in the western countries and regions dominated by the United States. At present and in a long period in the future, it is considered that the Chinese culture needs both the translation of Chinese translators' preference for alienation and that of foreign sinologists' preference for domestication. "Naturalization is the priority, and alienation is secondary", which complement each other. To meet the needs of different types of readers and promote Chinese culture to go out.
