翻译伦理—《麦田守望者》施咸荣译本个案研究

【摘要】：九十年代开始兴起的“文化转向”和“翻译伦理的回归”大大拓展了翻译研究的领域，包括语言、文化和社会等因素，更为贴近现实，更为客观。“翻译伦理”这一概念从二十世纪八十年代中期由安托瓦纳·贝尔曼(Antoine Berman）提出之后，其他学者也提出各自的翻译伦理观，，其中最具代表性的是安德鲁·切斯特曼(Andrew Chesterman)。他提出五种模型：再现伦理——再现原文文本、原文作者；服务伦理——完成与委托人协商后达成的要求；交际伦理——与“他者”进行交流；基于规范的伦理——满足特定的文化期待；承诺的伦理——履行职业道德的规范和誓言。这五种模型之间相互补充。《麦田里的守望者》是非常受欢迎的一本英文小说。历经半个世纪而畅销不衰，而且在当今的中国社会更是具有其现实意义。它的汉译本首先由施咸荣完成。在几个汉译本中这个版本一直是最受欢迎的而且这个版本已被读者广泛接受，因此，几经重版再印。本文以这个版本的为个案致力于分析翻译现象并试图揭示翻译伦理是如何反应在翻译实践中的。所使用的研究方法为描述性分析和个案研究。文学翻译是一种伦理活动，自然要受到伦理的约束。翻译伦理是指导文学翻译的一个有效方法。在一定的社会历史背景下，译者遵从一定的翻译伦理模式。本论文首先对翻译伦理研究进行了回顾，随后简述了本论文研究所依据的理论基础，即安德鲁·切斯特曼的五种翻译伦理模式。最后，本论文从译者对原作的再现、译者对原作者意图的再现以及译者对再现伦理的违背这三个方面对《麦田里的守望者》施咸荣的中译本进行了分析。研究发现，施咸荣译本基本上遵从了再现伦理并与其他方面的翻译伦理得以适当的结合。希望本研究对今后相关研究有所帮助。
[Abstract]:The "cultural turn" and "the return of translation ethics", which began to emerge in the 1990s, have greatly expanded the field of translation studies, including language, culture and society, and are closer to reality and more objective. Since the concept of "translation ethics" was put forward by Antoine Berman (Antoine Berman) in the mid-1980s, other scholars have put forward their own ethical views on translation. The most representative of them is Andrew Chesterman (Andrew Chesterman). He proposed five models: reproduction ethics-reproduction of the original text, the original author; service ethics-the requirements reached after negotiation with the client; communication ethics-communicating with the "other"; Normative based ethics-meeting specific cultural expectations; promising ethics-fulfilling ethical norms and vows. The five models complement each other. The Catcher in the Rye is a very popular English novel. After half a century and sell well, and in today's Chinese society has its practical significance. Its Chinese translation was first completed by Shi Xianrong. This version has been the most popular of several Chinese translations and has been widely accepted by readers, so it has been reprinted several times. This paper takes this version as a case study to analyze translation phenomena and try to reveal how translation ethics is reflected in translation practice. The research methods used are descriptive analysis and case study. Literary translation is an ethical activity, so it is bound by ethics. Translation ethics is an effective method to guide literary translation. In a certain social and historical background, translators follow a certain ethical model of translation. Firstly, this thesis reviews the study of translation ethics, and then briefly introduces the theoretical basis of this thesis, namely Andrew Chesterman's five ethical models of translation. Finally, this thesis analyzes the Chinese translation of the Catcher in the Rye from three aspects: the reproduction of the original, the reappearance of the intention of the author and the transgression of the ethics of reproduction. It is found that Shi Xianrong's translation basically adheres to the ethics of reproduction and is properly combined with other aspects of ethics of translation. It is hoped that this study will be helpful to the related research in the future.
